Tulipan Hungarian Pastry in Wooster Ohio

I was in downtown Wooster Ohio this morning- only about 15 - 20 minutes from where I live.  Yet, I never get to downtown.  This morning I had an errand to run so I decided to make an effort to stop at Tulipan!  I've not been there in about 4 years.
As you can see above- they do teas for groups as small as 4.
Right off the square - across fromEverything  Rubbermaid, on Market Street, is Tulipan Hungarian Pastry.
It's in a great quaint building- with some parking out front.
There are 10 tables inside and 4 or 5 outside.

The daily specials.  I got the crepes and Hungarian cucumber side salad.

If you have the Canton Enterainment book there is one coupon in there for 50% off a pastry.

Lots of different pastries to pick from...

The side of the shop is really cute!  It's the style I would love for my shop.  A manageable 10 tables. Brick walls. Variety of sandwiches and pastries.  Fresh flowers on the tables. Very cute!

I ordered a Chai- I would rate it in the top 3 of best chai teas ever!!!!  It had a really nice nutmeg flavor. Definitely NOT a prepackaged syrup mix.

The food was really good!  The portions are small- but I told myself it was "dainty", the prices aren't bad either.  I give it two thumbs up for sure!!!
I tried the lemon tort.  My favorite was the hint of lemon in the icing.

Since it was soon hot,I purchased an iced Chai Latte to go.  Again it was excellent!

If in the area- stop here for treats!

Garden Tea 2015

My parents had their annual tea party.  I was again granted a table for friends.  It was a hot day, so we stayed in the shade.  We had a nice table away from the others- so we could be as loud as we wanted- hahahaha.  I had some of the wives (and daughters) of my co-workers.

My mom out did herself again on the food!!!!!

Rhonda, Me, Marci, and Chrissy

I brought loose leaf tea (for my table) from France and Germany.  We were able to try lots of different tea while enjoying fun food and great conversation.  I had empty paper tea bags that we filled with loose tea.

Lots of fun finger foods.....

My Aunt Joyce's AMAZING lemon bread!!!!

Viennese raspberry squares- another favorite

We collected our food and then head out to our table

Marci and I love our hats and our tea!!!!   So much fun!!!!

Each table is different and has a variety of bagged tea with sugar and milk.

This is my second favorite table setting.  Check out the tea cups, 2 have horizontal strips and 2 have vertical.

Here are some of the other tables set up in the garden.  We tried to keep everyone in the shade!
Prep time!  Making sandwiches

The "gardener" parking cars
The "queen" is in residence!

Home made cherry scones

Pages Strawberry and Rhubarb

I packed up some French treats and headed to my mom's house, the day before Mothers Day and we enjoyed the shortbread and tea in our matching cups!!!!!  The shortbread had a lemon taste, they were really yummy!

I searched the US and French site and could not find the shortbread I brought back from France.  Maybe it is an in store special product.

20 sachets 3,50 E.  This is a fun tea I brought back from France with me.

 From the website :
Grown in the best organic gardens, free from any pollution, delicately flavored and Pagès organic tea is characterized by perfect balance between fruity and delicious strawberry and rhubarb brings a fresh and tangy key.

advice
Use one bag per cup. Pour boiling water and steep for 2-4 minutes depending on your taste.

You don't need to dress fancy to drink tea.  Just grab a fun cup, good tea and relax and enjoy!!!  Even better when drank with a friend.

Lipton Sparkling Peach Iced Tea

I am a fan of this product- although it is pricey.  I think I got it on sale for under $2.00, but that is way to much for this cheap skate!  It is a small can, if I got it for under a $1.00 it would be worth it :)
