Oregon Chai, Thai Tea

I find my Oregon Chai at Walmart, they have it for a great price!

I know I always say I don't care for Oregon Chai Concentrate, but when they came out with new flavors I really wanted to try it.  I found the concentrates at Walmart for less than $3- that was a great price.

I have had Thai tea in Thailand and I don't think it taste anything like this.  The taste was still good, just not like Thai Tea.

I made it as an iced latte.  The flavors were good, I enjoyed it.  It is definitely better than the original Oregon Chai.  They also make a Turmeric Latte and a Matcha drink.  I have not tried the Matcha one, but I do like the turmeric blend.

Easy to make- half milk (oat milk, almond milk, or soy milk) and have Thai concentrate.  Make it hot or cold.  I like it best cold.

I'd give this Thai Tea Latte a 3 out of 5.  I like the flavors- but it doesn't remind me of Thai Tea at all. If it had more Thai flavors I would give it a 4.  And if they didn't say it was Thai tea I would give it a 4.  But, saying Thai tea and not tasting like Thai Tea is a negative for me.  Maybe if I made it with Sweet and Condensed Milk it would taste like Thai Tea.  That is the milk that is used in Thailand.

I have an Oat Milk that I really like.  It is extra creamy, it is like a milkshake on its own.  I love it in my iced drinks.

I am really enjoying the extra creamy Oat Milk.  I found it at Walmart as well.

I tried the spice Chai and I liked it too now- with the oat milk.

Blueberry Patch- The Blossom Cafe, Blueberry Iced Tea, Mansfield OH

I was meeting my friends for lunch at the Blossom Cafe at the Blueberry Patch in Mansfield.  This place is adorable!!  I just love it.  It has great outdoor space and great, quaint indoor space.

Besides blueberry picking, the greenhouse, coffee shop, gift shop, and the Blossom Cafe there is also a winery.  My friends also said this place makes the best wood fired pizzas.  It is all so nicely laid out.  I fell in love with the vibe immediately.

Maybe 10-12 tables outside under the pergolas.

From here you can walk into the gift shop area...

We sat outside and enjoyed a really delicious meal.  I had a panini and Tomato Florentine soup  (when the waitress was describing it, I thought she said Tomato Quarantine Soup.  That is when you know that there has been too much talk about quarantines going on.) with their homemade blueberry iced tea.

The food was really good.  The only thing better was the conversation!!  I have known these sisters since the late 80's when we worked at Bible Camp together.  Love them!!!!

The tea was very tasty.  I liked that it came unsweetened with fresh blueberries in it.

I got a cup to go too.  The tea had a nice subtle blueberry flavor.  It was not overpowering or artificial tasting.  I thought it was a nice blend.

This is looking back at the greenhouse.

Sure House Iced Lavender Latte...turns out it isn't tea.

https://www.surehousecoffee.com/

I saw that Sure House had a chai of the month and Lavender Lattes.  So, I went and got a co-worker the chai and the lavender latte for myself.

Turns out the lavender latte was made with coffee...that was a disappointment...but that is what I get for not confirming it was tea, lol.

I did drink it, I almost got a buzz from the coffee.  I never ever drink coffee.  This wasn't too bad and I think it helped it was iced and the lavender in it was very nice.

My friend said the Blackberry Chai was really good, so that is a plus.

Sure is nice to have a place in town that has fun tea.  And looking at the menu it looks like they have expanded the tea selection.  #shoplocal

Nickel and Bean, Iced Chai, Lexington, Ohio

I went to Mansfield to visit some friends and teach a class on making kombucha.  On the way home I thought I would take the time to find some tea places.

This old brick building was so cool, I wanted to try it out. There was a lot of parking in the back and also some out door seating.

I ordered an ice chai- which I think it was over priced to begin with.  Then she asked if I wanted a dash of cinnamon in it, I said sure.
To me a dash of cinnamon is just a sprinkle on top.  This drink was covered in cinnamon.

The cinnamon was too over powering.  I did finish it, I figured since I paid $4 for it I wanted my money's worth.

This only gets two tea cups from me- it was over priced and had way to much cinnamon on it.

Voce Lemon Ginger Tea

Ingredients: Organic dried lemon slices, organic dried ginger

This was a really good tea.  I decided to get one really strong cup of tea.  I had the water at 212, then I added the tea bag and just left it in the cup.  With an herbal tea you never have to take the tea bag out of the cup if you don't want.  Normally I will and I will try to get 2 cups out of one bag, but today I didn't.

I have to say it was super good!  The lemon and ginger played so well together.  It was so fresh tasting.  I didn't have a cold, but I thought I might buy more for when I do have a cold- it just reminded me of a tea I would want to have if I had a cold...I am not sure why.
