Chai -Wallah Tea with maple syrup and turmeric

I am enjoying a cup of Chai-Wallah Chai Tea.  I decided not to add milk and sugar like normal....instead I used maple syrup and a dash of turmeric.

This chai is full of flavor and spices!
It has a nice mix of spices- not too spicy not too sweet.

I put the loose leaf tea in my steeper, adding the boiler water, letting it steep for 3-4 minutes.

I poured the tea into my cup, adding a little maple syrup for sweetness

And lastly I added a dash or two of turmeric.

This tea is delicious!!!  I may add milk next time, but I am not really sure if milk is needed in this one or not, but it may make it even richer if I did.  I love the maple syrup addition and turmeric!  It is a fun addition to the chai.  I love playing with my tea.  You should too.  Try adding new things and different blends, you never know what you will come up with.

I am loving using my new tea pot with built in steeper!!  I picked it up for  $15 at an antique store

I love my little Dutch girl tea maker

I made the chai again with frothed milk and it was amazing!!  so wonderful

I added turmeric on top, it was a wise choice.  I loved it.

Spokes Cafe II, Arnold Palmer, Medina Ohio

I was traveling home from Vermillon the other weekend and decided to stop in at some tea shops.  This one was is crazy unique.

Spokes II is along a bike trail and has a super cool bike theme.

Tea? Well, nothing great, but it was refreshing.  I purchased an Arnold Palmer.   1/2 Unsweetened tea and 1/2 lemonade.
But, glad I stopped, it was really cool inside.  If I were biking, I would want to stop here for sure.

Check out the tables with the bike tires!  I loved it.

Great views too.  The bike trails here are really nice.  There were lots of bikers out too.

Malaysia Grocery Store Teas

While in Penang Malaysia  my friend and I took one afternoon to ride in a tuk tuk to the grocery store.

I enjoyed checking out the teas while there.  I enjoyed some Crysthamum tea.  It was actually really good, not overly flowery.

BOH Tea is the tea that is made in Malaysia.

Look at all the fun kinds of tea!!  I love it!

I did bring home some instant BOH tea.  I thought it was fun and different.

Kombucha

The Kumbcha was more expensive then I thought it would be..  They were like $5 each.  That is even more than the US.  So, I passed on trying any of the kombucha.

Iced Coconut Latte- first try was a fail

This did not go well!!!

I am working on this process, but I don't have it yet.  I threw it away.

I tried to make iced coconut latte for myself and two co-workers.  I used the Coconut Oolong tea from Dragonfly Tea room, I love this tea.

I don't have the ratio down yet.  I used way too much coconut milk.  This is the first time I have tried coconut milk...back to the drawling board!!

\I used my hand held frother to froth the milk

1. I made coconut tea
2. frothed the coconut milk
3. added ice

GTS Extra Large Kombucha

This may look like an average bottle of kombucha....but it isn't, it is huge, 48ozes huge!!!!

Some days you just need the big bottle!  I would not recommend you drink this in one sitting.  It can really "clean" you out.
There are over 30 flavors, you are sure to find a flavor that you enjoy.

I don't buy store kombucha very often since I make my own- but when I do I enjoy GTS and I shop Walmart, they have the best prices.

This bottle is 48 oz.
I love this kombucha!  GTS gets it right.

If you see the 48 oz next to a regular 16 oz bottle you see how big it is.
