Home Tea Party

I enjoyed have some church friends over for tea and a light supper.  I made a mint tea with some fun mint tea from France and I served it in my tea pot from Guinea West Africa.   I also had water with cucumber.  I then had mixed fruit- raspberry, peaches, blueberries and strawberries.

I also served a mix of cookies for dessert.  I made several pots of hot water and we used the demi cups to to taste a varieties of teas.  It was a lot of fun!!!

I had ham salad on mini croissants along with cherry tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and balsamic vinegar.

I had fun using my parents snack sets for the plates.  My parents received these snack sets as a wedding gift over 50 years ago.  I asked my mom if she had a set I could borrow- she said yes.  Then she handed me to sets and said I could not borrow them, I had to keep them, hahaha!  That is one way to pass along heirlooms!!  I was thrilled to get and be able to use them.

I had Urbal- Lemon Mango.  I enjoyed it very much.  It was fruity and sweet.

We even had a fun little boy sneak into the tea party.

I made pots of tea and we all got to share and try new blends

Pinky's up!! We loved trying a variety of teas.  The demi cups come in handy for trying multiple teas. We had a nice Harney & Son Tea, a Teavana Tea, Tealyra, and Urbal Tea.

What a fun night with friends!!!!

Bluebird Beet it

I had a Surface laptop and I had it covered in fun stickers.  I then won a free Chrome laptop at work.  I have been without a "real" laptop with over four years.  I was thrilled to have a laptop I could do more on.  I passed the Surface along to my niece and nephew.  Now I needed new stickers to decorate my laptop.
I contacted several of my favorite tea companies to see if I could get some stickers to put on my new laptop.  Bluebird was kind enough to send me some stickers and this kind note and some free tea to try.  I am so thrilled!  Now I also really want to be a Tea Rep for them :)

I am enjoying decorating my new laptop.

In honor of this British Tea Company I am wearing my Jack Flag scarf!!!!

I am enjoying the beet tea.  You may think it will be icky earthy and root tasting tea, but it wasn't. I mean it was earthy- but not in a bad way.  It was earthy in a sweet warming way with a tartness to it,

Beetroot, apple pieces, orange peel, lemon peel, hibiscus, rosehip, natural flavour.

Bluebird Pineapple Mint

I have found yet another Bluebird tea that I love!  Their teas are so good.   I keep telling them to come to the states and I will run their store :)  They make me want to move to London just to work with them!!!!  Their teas are so full of flavor.  They have a great sense of what works together.  The pineapple mixed with spearmint and peppermint is great.

Pinky and cups up!

Snack sets from 51 years ago!

I was having some friends from church over for tea and a light meal.  I have a set of snack trays that came with the house I bought at auction.  And what I mean by that is that I bought my house at auction and everything that did not sell at the auction was left behind.  Going through the boxes I found a a snack set I thought I would have fun using. I thought I would use my snack set for my little party.

The set of snack sets come in set of four.  I would need an additional plate and cup, since there would be five of us.  I asked my mom and dad if they had a snack set I could borrow.  My mom said yes.  But, when I went to get the snack set she gave me two boxes and said I could not borrow them, but I had to keep them.
Ha, I loved it!!  What a way for my parents to clean house!!!  And then my parents said that the snack sets were wedding gifts- that means they were over 50 years old.

Here are my parents on their wedding day over 50 years ago.

The snack sets each had a tag on them.  One said 67 and one said 89- I asked what the tags were for- my parents said that they tagged all the gifts , so they knew who gave them what.  And funny enough, they still had the list and knew who had given them the wedding gifts.  But, if they did not have the list I could tell who gave them the snack sets.  How you ask???

The boxes still had the wedding cards in the boxes.  One of the boxes even had the $2.00 price tag on it.

Enjoying tea with friends and the new snack sets!!!!
