Ohio Tea Company, Angel Falls Mist

I love loose tea!  When at work I usually put the loose tea in tea bags for brewing.  You can usually find nice empty tea bags for adding your loose leaf tea too.

From the website,

"A wildly exotic strawberry and lemon character.

Extra Info:

This tisane was named in honor of the highest waterfall in the world - Angel Falls. This waterfall is located in the tropical jungles of Venezuela and drops over 2000 feet. The volume of water that falls is quite small compared to major waterfalls such as Niagara or Victoria Falls but none can compare to the height. At the bottom of the falls there is a constant drizzle because the water literally turns to mist on account of the fact that the water breaks down into molecules after the dizzying drop.

Ingredients:

Natural dried apple pieces, hibiscus, rosehip, natural dried orange, calendula petals, and natural flavors.,

Origin:

Canada, USA, Thailand, Spain"

My friend bought this tea and let me try it.  I have to say it was just okay.  I am not sure I am a strawberry fan in tea.  I wonder if that is part of the natural flavors- it didn't say.  But, the website did say it had an exotic strawberry character.

There was nothing bad about the tea, it just wasn't one of my favorites.  I guess I can't love all the teas, lol.

Golden Moon Tea- Coconut Pouchong (Oolong Tea)

I saw this tea special on line and decided to try them.  I had never tried these teas before, but I could not pass up the good deal.

I also purchased their Coconut Pouchong.  Poouchong is basically Oolong tea.
Coconut Oolong is my favorite kind of tea.  I have to say this tea was wondeful!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this tea, I had never heard of them before, but there tea was great.  The coconut notes come through so well....and I am not surprised, there are chunks of coconut in the tea.

The tea leaves with this tea reminded me more of a silver needle leaf, it was not rolled like a lot of oolong leaves are, but that didn't matter,  It was a great oolong tea!!!

Two thumbs way up on this tea!!!

Tea Forte Tea Over Ice

My mom was recovering from Gall Bladder surgery, so I took Earl Grey over to see her.  I called him my therapy cat.  My mom and my aunt loved seeing him.  Earl loved hanging out.

My mom loves iced tea, so I took over some Tea Forte Tea Over Ice.

She picked the blood orange tea.  It was quick and easy to maker her the iced tea.  She said it was good, not outstanding, but good.

I purchased the sampler pack to try all different kinds of their iced tea. I am really enjoying the favors.
I have made the celyon gold and and it was a great black tea.  I have also enjoyed the raspberry nectar.  These teas have wonderful flavor.  I am a big fan.

Ice Over Tea is is so quick and easy to make.  Let me know what flavors you enjoy the most.

Ohio Tea Company Moroccan Mint- cold brew

Gunpowder green tea | Organic Peppermint | Organic Spearmint

This is a really nice tea.  I am not a huge fan of gunpowder green tea, but the peppermint and spearmint come through really nicely.  I like this tea cold brewed over heated.  But, that is a personal choice.

The pitcher I used is great for cold brew, it has a filter in the middle.  I can add tea to brew to the infuser basket and then once the tea is ready I can pull the basket out.  I got it when I sold Tealightful.  I looked and they no longer sell them, but I found one like it on line.

Cold brew is a great way to drink tea.  By not heating it, you are not releasing the tannins and you can add cold water over and over again. Also you retain more antioxidants than hot brew and also it releases only half the caffeine.  I usually can add water 2-3 more times to my glass.

If I have bagged tea I do one bag per 8 oz of water.  When I do the loose leaf in a pitcher, I generally eye ball it, but if you want something more specific go with 4 Tbsp per 1 quart.

Pickwick Herbal Tea, Peppermint

The other morning I had a migraine and I needed a great peppermint tea. I have found that peppermint oil, peppermint tea, a cold Coke, and some dark chocolate help me when I have a migraine.

This is a great strong peppermint tea.  If you are looking peppermint tea, this is a great one to reach for!

Pickwick tea is made by Smuckers.  Smuckers is in Orrville- that is my home town.  You can buy Pickwick tea at the Simply Smucker store in Orrville.

Mighty Leaf Spirulina Stamina

Merry Christmas!!!  I have decided to try this tea that I have had for awhile, but never tried.  I looked on the website and I could not find it. I wonder if I have had it so long that they stopped making it.

Spirulina Stamina is a blend of rosehip, cinnamon, balm mint, schizandra, black currant, black berry leaves, green mate, and spirulina.

This is a really nice tea, the ingredients play really well together.  I get the mint first and then the other fruity flavors come in, their is a tiny hint of cinnamon too. I am glad it is only a hint, since I am not a huge cinnamon fan.

Tea Drops - Cardamom Spice/Chai Spice

Finally we got some snow in Ohio.  It did not last long, but I enjoyed it while it was around.

I decided to try these teas, these teas are really unique!  They come individually packaged, you add the tea cake to the cup and add hot water- the tea dissolves and you drink.

Check out this cute box for $5.80!

From the website,

"Perfect starter gift! Mini wood box comes with 2 of our best selling individually wrapped single serve tea drops - Chai Spice and Sweet Peppermint.
Wood box size 3.80" length x 1.25" height x 2.75" width.
Meet CHAI SPICE:
Paying homage to the delicate notes of Masala Chai Tea, this is a spicy and sweet treat that is best complemented by a dash of milk.
Some sediment at the bottom of your cup is expected and drinkable. Lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: bold, adventurous, spicy, delicate, and sweet.
She is fierce, spicy, and may or may not be"

Here is the tea cake

I added the water...

And I drank the tea.

When they say there will be sediment in the bottom of the cup, they weren't kidding.  There was so much sediment in the bottom of the cup that I was able to make a second cup.  But, it all worked out.  Both cups were good, not fantastic but good.
I want more spice out of a chai.  But, I guess if it is just a cardamom tea then it was good, because that it was I tasted the most of.  But, if it was a chai tea it was a bit lacking.

Sediment at the bottom of the cup the first time I made it.  I did just add more water and made the second cup.
