BOH ICE TEA Orchard Splash

When I was in Penang Malaysia I wanted to visit BOH tea plantation, but it did not work out.  My friend who lived in Penang send me home with some fun tea to try.  BOH ICE TEA was one of them.
It was very good.  Instant ice tea in a packet, I love the concept.

The instant packet is after all instant tea but is still a good tasting tea, I can enjoy the ease of use for the instant tea, however nothing beats the flavor and tastes of loose leaf tea.
Also, I don't like to add sugar to my tea and this has sugar already added, so this is not a tea I will have very often.

from the website, "BOH’s zesty, instant Ice Tea invigorates with a blend of natural mango extract and other tropical fruit flavours, Vitamin C and less sugar.
Empty one sachet into a glass or bottle of cold water, stir briskly and add ice if desired."

Drinking the Malaysia BOH Ice Tea in my Malaysia Starbucks tumbler.

Bird & Blend Tea, Dark choc chili chai

If you follow my blog, you know I love Bird & Blend Tea from England.  I wish I was able to visit them!  When Teavana was in business they were my favorite tea company, but then they went out of business so I had to find another go to for my tea.  I found Bird & Blend- but sadly the shipping gets me, so I only order once or twice a year.  My new USA favorites are Ohio Tea Company, Tea Forte, and Sub Rosa tea.

Anyway, back to this blog, Bird & Blend Tea!  One of my shipments I got from England I purchased Dark Chocolate Chili Chai.  It is a great spicy chai.  If you are looking for a kick in your chai this is the tea you want to try.

I used my new milk forther and it makes this chai even more amazing now

Ingredients- Cardamom, Cinnamon, Ginger, Chilli, Cocoa (Cocoa Nibs, Cocoa Shells), Sri Lankan Black Tea, Natural Flavouring

I took my chai and milk frother into work and let me supervisor and friend, Deb, try the chili chai and they liked it.  At first my supervisor said he wasn't sure if he liked it, but after a couple of sips he said he liked it, it had really grew on him.

From the website, "This award winning black tea blend is our absolute favourite guilt free sweet treat! Real chunks of decadent dark chocolate help melt away the day's worries followed by a chilli kick to awaken your tastebuds! Chilli heat warning! "

Homemade Tea Tray, tea cups from Ohio Tea Company and Anthropologie, and tea pot from Tea Forte

                                           TEA ANYONE?

So excited about this tray that my dad made for me!!  I wove the basket tray layer and then dad made the wooden tray top and bottom.  The most impressive part is that he hand made the handles!!

It took probably 10-12 hours to make the basket tray.  I would work on it a couple hours a night while watching a movie or two.  The cat loved to sit on it while I was making it.  It added to the challenge in making the tray.

I knew I wanted to make this tray to display these beautiful cups I bought at The Ohio Tea Company in Canton. https://www.ohioteaco.com/
One of the cups is actually from NYC, Anthropologie.  A couple of years ago my cousin and I went on a bus trip to NYC and I bought the white floral cup.  IT reminded me like one my older sister had.  I love using it now, it reminds me of her every time I use it.  https://www.anthropologie.com/kitchen-mugs-teacups

My dad built the base and the top, displaying the rope tray I made.

I love all these tea cups.  When I drink tea I want to drink lots- that is a mug is the most common vessel  I use.  But, with these cups you get to use the delicate looking tea cup, but it holds a lot tea.

These tea cups sell for $8 at the Ohio Tea Company.  Terry, the owner told me that they are no longer able to get these mugs...so last time I was there I bought 3 to complete my set.  He was kind enough to even give me a discount on the mugs!!  There is a yellow one out, I think I gave it to my mom for Christmas.  Maybe she will let me exchange it and take it back, lol!

I can't wait to serve tea from this tea tray!!
Who wants to come over for tea?!!!

The Tao of Tea and French tea - combines Iced tea

I love mixing teas and making iced tea.  Tao Tea has a great Moroccan Mint tea and I have this French tea that I got while I was in Colomiers France.  I don't know the name of the tea- just that it is a fabulous green jasmine tea.
I mixed these teas together to try to make a great iced tea.  This does make a great tea combination.  You never know until you play around with your tea.

From the website:  "About Moroccan Mint:Sweet mint tea is part of life in Morocco with a long tradition. It is usually made with fresh mint and green tea in tapered glasses (istikan) and served with sugar cubes. Our Moroccan Mint blend is inspired from this tea tradition. We use a hearty, full-bodied, pan-roasted gunpowder green tea and blend it with flavorful peppermint leaves. Can be enjoyed either hot or iced.Ingredients: 100% Organic Green Tea Leaves, 100% Organic Peppermint Leaves.Flavor Profile:Full-bodied "

The tea was in a plastic see-through container.  I know that tea needs to be stored in dark, air tight containers.  So, I put it in this tin I picked up in France.

Making my tea in this handy iced tea container.  Once the tea is steeped then I take out the steeping container- it untwists from the lid.

This is the recipe I use to make green tea iced tea.

The tea is all ready to serve.  I can usually make tea twice with the one serving.  I love this iced tea!!  Play with your tea!!  Try new things!!
