Brewed Awakening- 🍵 Peachy Island Matcha

My favorite café in Vermilion is Brewed Awakening.

I only get to Vermilion once or twice a year, but if I am there overnight, I usually have a lunch here or at least pick up a fun drink.

They have great teas and the food is really good too.  I like their prices too.
My go to the last few times has been the chicken salad salad.

The Peachy Island Matcha was really great.  The flavors were on point, I picked up the peach and the matcha. I also like the coconut milk with it.  The drink was light and refreshing.  The prices are good here too.  The staff is always friendly and helpful as well.

They have some many drink options...

Yes, we will have 3 bubble teas, a chai, and two lattes....

When you are bringing back the family drinks...

I got a dirty chai to go, it was good too.  It had a little more espresso then I was expecting, but it was still good.

You can sit outside and people watch too.  You can see the water from the shop as well.

Vermilion is a great little town to walk around in.  There are cute shops, the water, the lighthouse and the huge houses to stare at, lol.

This little cafe is clean and spacious.  They have free wifi, so it is great place to come and get some work done...when I am Beulah Beach the wifi is super spotty.

I have also kayaked here.  There is area to put into the water near down town.  For an hour I think it was around $20.  This is a fun place to explore.

We then headed to a fun orchard for some cider tasting.  This orchard is between Vermilion and Huron in Berlin Heights.

This family owned business has been around for 200 years!!

Waffle O Waffle, Raspberry Coconut Matcha, Medina Oh

I was super excited to head to vermilion this weekend and pick up bubble tea on the way for me and my friends.  I had a cooler full of ice to pick up 6 drinks - but they were closed.  However today on the way home they were open!!

I picked up my favorite drink in the entire world!! Coconut Raspberry Matcha.  I’ve literally had bubble tea all over the world and this is the best! Better than what I had in Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Hong Kong, and here in the US!  The owner rocks the tea- and she remembers me from a year ago. 😂🥰

This matcha is refreshing and delicious!  It's like there is a raspberry syrup or puree that she puts in and then coconut milk, with the matcha mixed in.  It is so wonderful.  And match is so healthy and good for you too.

This really is a must if you like Matcha tea.  It is not overly sweet, it is a perfect combination of flavors.

Her prices have gone up since I was there, they are now $8.  But, all prices seem to have gone up.  But, man is it good!!!

I did not have the waffles, but they looked incredible.

My little cabin for the weekend.  I just adore it.  It is quiet and peaceful.

And my sunset view is breathtaking.  I am sure the Lord loves painting a new picture each night.

Hunan Coventry mango bubble tea at the Asian Festival in Cleveland

The Asian Festival did not disappoint.  What a fun day.  It opened at 11 am and we got there around 11.  We are glad we did, it was not too busy then, it was also not too hot in the early morning.

We came, we saw, we ate our way through the Asian Festival!!!

I got some Mango bubble tea from Hunan Coventry.   I have to say it was not the greatest.  The tea was just okay, and the tapioca balls were hard and not chewy.  I get that it is hard to keep them "fresh" at a festival...so I will give some grace.

I did like containers they served the bubble tea.  (See below)  If I start to do more pop ups, this is the way to cart the tea and serve it....

The bubble tea to me wasn't great.  The price was decent though, $6 is about average and for the size of the cup that is good.  But, the tapioca balls were not good.  I also was not a huge fan of the mango flavor. It was not overly mango forward, it was sweet, but a little fake tasting.  I would give them a second chance- cause I know festivals or cooking outside it stressful and not like cooking in your restaurant.

I am always a sucker for a city sign....

I was excited to see Li Wah.  I have been there twice before and the food is really good.

I ordered some dumplings and they were yummy.  They had so many fun options, it was hard to decide what to pick.  My friends let me try the bao bun, it was yummy too!!

We watched the dancing dragons for a while.

I had an egg custard- and I have to say it might be my favorite thing I ate!!!  It was sweet and hot and so delicious. I bought that from Ball o Ball.

I also purchased these waffle balls - they were chocolate with peanut butter topping and condensed milk.

I also got some sesame balls and macaroons that were very tasty too!!  Red Bean Bakes had lots of fun sweet treats.

The macaroons were mix and matched in the container.  You did not know what you were getting. My friends and I got different ones, so we shared.  They were delicious!  I love macaroons and I love even more that they are gluten free.

Lastly, on the way out I got an egg roll from this super helpful woman!!!  She talked to me about her van that she had turned into her food truck.
She had great egg rolls and her home made sauces were fantastic!

We stayed from about 11:15-1.

Then we headed to a vintage store and then to Edge Water Park.

We walked around the water and I found this heart shaped piece of sea glass.

We then went for dinner at this fun diner., Clifton.  There food was home made and delicious.  I had a portabella mushroom, grilled red pepper spinach wrap with sweet potato fries.

What a fun day with friends!!  I love traveling around and exploring a part of Cleveland.
