Ohio Tea Company Gui Fei Oolong

Earl Grey tries to stop me when i am blogging... he is so cute I usually end up stopping to play with him.

I tried another fun oolong tea.  Ohio Tea has this new tea and I really like it.  I love the oolong notes, to me there is no other tea like oolong.

Gui Fei Oolong is an exquisite and rare oolong from Taiwan.   It has a supremely unique wild honey flavor, with sweet, floral and woody notes.

GuiFei , also known as Concubine Oolong,  belongs to a subclass of tea that originated in Taiwan, known as bitten oolong. Bitten teas are created when the Green Leafhopper bites into tippy buds of the tea plant, causing the leaf to oxidize while on the branch. The result is an instantly recognizable flavor profile, both fragrant and intense.

When I make tea in the french press, I put the tea above the press so that I can lift the press when the tea is done steeping, that way I don't over steep it.  Or I put the loose leaf tea a tea bag to steep.

I gave this tea 5 tea cups.  I love the uniqueness of this tea.  The flavor notes are really great.  There is sweetness and an earthiness that you can taste.  I love that I could get this rare tea in Canton Ohio.

Thomas Harding, Legacy- the story of Lyons Tea family

My office is encouraging us to read, so they offered to buy us each a book.  I went this with one, Legacy.

I am just a few chapters in, but I am really enjoying it.  I encourage you to check it out.

Chinese Tea House Building Blocks

Chinese Tea House, very fun and easy to put together.

This set has some of the greatest detail blocks I have ever used.  I am super impressed.

Love my Chinese Tea Houses!!

Cafe Arnone- Turmeric Latte

The day after Thanksgiving was a great day to get out and do a little tea hunting.  I had never gone tea tasting in the Fairlawn, Ohio area, so I spent the day hoping from one tea place to another.

I stopped at Arnone for the first time.  It is an Italian Coffee Bar. The menu looks really good.  Next time I will have to get something to eat. I had seen it before it before but never stopped.  The cafe was not open inside to sit, so I went to the drive thru.   I tried their golden milk latte.

The latte was really good. I did have to stir it often because it was a bit gritty, but the taste was really good.  I liked the turmeric spice, it mingled nicely with the other spices.

Tazo Golden Turmeric Latte

So easy to make!  I do half and half.  With the Tazo I have added soy milk, almond milk, but my favorite is oat milk.

Just combine Tazo and "milk" and drink.  I do add ice as well.

There is a really tasty mix.  I love the flavors.  Turmeric spice is something I really like...although I admit when I drink I crave Indian food, lol.

I am giving this 4 out of 5 tea cups because of the sugars added.  But, the taste is really great and it is super easy to make.

Beach Cafe Building Blocks

My newest building block set.  These are great, I think they have more detail and are half the price of Lego.  They come from China.

They come in bags, not boxes. They also have step by step instructions.

Lots of pieces and detailed stickers come with the building sets.

These have fun details.

The girls are put together like other building block people, but they look more real.  They legs are more detailed then most of the "people" in other sets.

Did you see the hot dog on the table?  The frog on the "sand" is adorable.

These sets would be great for kids. They are fun and have lots of details.  I am enjoying putting them together- some day I hope they will be on the shelf of my tea shop :)

Bolthouse Vanilla Chai

I am huge fan of this chai.  And when I see the store has it on sale I usually buy a bottle or two.  I found a buy one get one free.  I snatched two up.  I drink this cold and usually add ice or just drink it straight out of the fridge.

Ingredients: Soy milk from Concentrate (Water, soy, and milk concentrate), Cane sugar, Soy Protein Isolate, Natural Flavors, Acacia Gum, Sea Salt, Green Tea (Water, Green Tea Extract- Natural, antioxidant rich green tea. Chai spices of cardamom, clove and ginger. A hint of real, tropical grown vanilla.)

I enjoyed this chai with Brussels Mint cookies.  It was a really great pairing.

I love this stuff!!!!  It is just the right mixture of  spices and I love that it is soy and not milk.  It is dairy and gluten free.  There is no chalky taste, it is smooth and refreshing.  I gave it only 4 tea cups, because of the sugars.  I hate when there always so much added sugar to drinks.
