Birthday tea treat

I just turned 49!  Yes, another year older, but that is okay, I still feel like I am in my early 30's.  My friend Barb got me this fun pin to wear and my friend Deb got me this great cupcake.

It is going to be a great day...

As I was leaving my house to head to Ohio Tea Company and some other fun birthday excursions, I found this in my yard.  How fun is this?

I am not sure who put this sign in my yard, but I loved it!!!

I went to the Ohio Tea Company in Canton to get free 1/2 ounce of tea.  Each month if you are on their mailing list you can get some free tea.  It is a great way to try their tea.  See what you like and what you don't.

I got this adorable cat as a gift while I was there.  He is so cute!!

I then headed to World Market and got this adorable lavender mug. Please no comments about how I don't need more mores.  It was $6.99 and it was my birthday, lol!
I then went to Starbucks and got my free item. Went to Panera to get my free pastry....a blueberry scone.

Then I headed the spa, my sister got me an hour massage for my birthday.  I got bubble tea at T-Bubbles.

I had dinner at Basil with my parents and aunt.  My niece called me from Hawaii,

It was a great day!!!  I also got this fun teapot trivet from my friend.

Make the most of all your days.  Celebrate the life you have been given.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Pioneer Coffeehouse, Jasmine Tea

They put the loose leaf teas in the tea bag, and after 3 minutes of steeping I took the tea bag out of the cup.

My friend and I spent the day together.  We went for tea at Pioneer Coffeehouse.  I bought a jasmine hot tea, I thought it was a good tea.  The jasmine the notes were really good.  If you don't like a floral tasting tea, then this would not be the tea for you.  But, I am finding I really love the floral notes in my tea.

We then headed to Amish country.  I found these great tea kettles at an antique store, I am going to use them a planters.

I love searching for treasures.  These kettles will be great planters.

We then had a wonderful lunch at Rebecca's Bistro in Walnut Creek.  The food there is great, the staff is super friendly.

Tomato Basil Soup and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, so great!!

Take the time to be with friends and enjoy life.  Friendships are so important.   Build each other up, check in on one another, and be there for them.

Proverbs 12: 26  The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Sembo - Coffee Shop with motorcycle

I got this one for $17 with free shipping.   It is a great deal, especially when you compare it to Lego.

Earl Grey loves to be involved in the building process.

Everything comes bagged.

There is such detail with these building blocks.

There are detailed stickers and lots building blocks come in one set.

I am getting quite the fun collection of tea houses.

These are such fun toys.  They take me usually two evenings to complete.  The directions are VERY helpful.

Ken and Kathy tea cups

I lost my dear friend Kathy a few years ago and then this year I lost her husband and my friend Ken.  These were the dearest couple.  When I was in high school in the late 80's they used to come to the restaurant I worked in.  It was always so fun to wait on them and chat.
They were such an encouraging and prayerful couple.  I will miss them dearly.
It is always hard to loose someone, but as a Christian I know I will see them again in heaven.

When Kathy passed Ken was kind enough to give me some of her jewelry and things to remember her by.  It is nice and comforting to think of her when I see her things.  Now that Ken has passed I was given a few things to remember him by-  a purple blanket and two tea cups.

When you loose a love one do you have hope?  I pray you do.  If you don't I encourage you to message me, turn to your Bible, or find a local Bible believing church in your area.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord,we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:1-7)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

I hope you find a relationship with Jesus, it is the only way to find true joy, happiness, and everlasting life.

Do you have things that remind you of people who have passed? It doesn't have to be something big or expensive, just something that reminds you of someone who has passed away, maybe even just a photo of a time shared with them. Does that item(s) bring you happiness and fond memories?  I know that when I use this blanket and these tea cups I will be happy to think of the wonderful times with Ken and Kathy.
