Mason jars and other Christmas items

I love Christmas!!!  I love this time of year for giving.  And giving to all for no reason, except you like someone and want to bring them joy.  Don't forget though the REAL reason for Christmas is Jesus!!!  Jesus came to Earth to save us.  He was born of the virgin Mary, then after his ministry here He died on the cross and rose three days later.  God gave the ultimate gift- His son!!!  Jesus wants a relationship with all of us.  It is never to late to accept His FREE gift.  You just need to acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of His saving forgiveness and grace.  Believe who He is- that He came to earth thru a virgin, died for your sins and rose again and is now in Heaven.  Want to know more- message me!!!  Also you can see His love and truths in the Bible!  Read Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:13.  Good works are not going to get you into Heaven.  You need a personal relationship with Jesus.  It's never to late to ask Him to come into your life!  You can never have sinned too much that He won't accept you.  He is waiting.

Now that I am off my soap box about the Ultimate Gift.  Here are some gifts you can purchase for someone or yourself.

Have a blessed Christmas

English Tea- French Blend and Summer Alfalfa Blossom Honey

THIRSTY THURSDAY!!!!!  What's in your cup??

From the website-
"The French Tea Blend from English Tea Store is a blend featuring Ooh-la-la flavor notes from "creme de la vanille", Earl Grey, Jasmine and Lavender, all deliciously blended with flavory Ceylons, Nilgiris, Assams and Kenyas. A good flavored tea tempered with flowery character and malty notes.
The Assam component gives the tea richness, while the Nilgiri and Ceylon gives the tea a saucy but sprightly flavor. From Kenya, there is romance and mystery with superb golden color notes and from China there is the delicate perfume of Jasmine, so often used in Parisian perfumes. To cement the "French" character, lavender from Provence was added along with some rose petals, a tea fit for the Latin Quarter along the Seine.
98% or more of this tea comes from estates that are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership, and 50% or more from Fair Trade estates. The ETP is an initiative started within the tea industry to monitor and regulate living and working conditions on estates around the world."

Ingredients: Luxury black tea, Luxury green tea, Rose petals, Lavender + Jasmine + Cornflower petals, Natural flavors

I am a fan of this tea.  And for the first time EVER in my life I added honey to my tea!!!  And I liked that too.  A girl in my church makes honey, so I decided to try it.  I like it- and since it is local they say that should help with allergies too.

I am drinking from my fun Mason jar- the lid of the ball jar is my coaster.
I like this tea, it has great flavors!  It is a mix of black and green tea- SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER TO :
1. don't boil the water
2. steep for 3 minutes
When you have a mix of teas, you always go with the water temp and steep time of the more "fragile" tea.  You should then get a perfect cup of tea!!!  I did not add milk to this tea- it doesn't need it either.  I never add milk to green tea.  I normally like it in black tea, but since it was a mix of green and black I opted for no milk.  The honey though was a nice touch.

I am using the ball jar lid as a coaster, or when drinking tea, I lay the tea ball on it.  Very handy!!!!!

My friend, Audrey Forrer, makes this great honey!

Buddha Bubbles Boba Bubble Tea with the kids

Bubble Tea is SO easy to make with this mix!  Just need hot water.  Hot water for the mix and hot water for the bubbles!

Had fun making bubble tea for my niece and nephew!

To make the tapioca pearls/pearls: When making the tapioca pearls, which are the chief ingredient in Asian bubble teas, please note that the pearls expand considerably when cooked. Please ensure that you use a large pot. (As a rule, the more pearls cooked, the more water should be used: that is, the water to pearl ratio must be higher).

Boil the water. Add the pearls to the boiling water and boil for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to make sure the pearls are not sticking to each other or to the pot. Turn off heat and let the pearls steep in the water for another 30 minutes with the lid of the cooking pot on.

Drain the tapioca pearls and rinse with cold water to cool them down. Make sure that the pearls are covered. Stir the pearls well. The pearls are now ready to put into the tea

If you don't have the mix,  you can make it yourself- I found this recipe on line.
