CYO Tea Winner- my own unique blend

Kerrie's Cup of Tea won a drawing!!!

I was able to create my own blend!!  I love this idea.
I went with the Tieguanyin oolong tea

From the website:

"Works great with all of the flowers, even chamomile. For spices, we recommend turmeric; for herbs, try juniper and lemon balm; for fruits, we recommend mango and peach.

This tea has almost no ceiling on how much it can cost, with some Tieguanyins selling for up to $3000 per kilogram. Mirroring the trending Tienguanyins of today, our tea's oxidation and flavor are much closer to green tea than black tea. This tea is perhaps the best introduction to Oolongs we sell.
  • Origin: Fujian Province, China

  • Year: 2020

  • Type/Cultivar: Camellia sinensis var. sinensis / Guanyin

  • Caffeine Level: Low"

Then I was able to choose my flavors.
It is not recommended, but I decided lemon balm and lavender.

I can't wait to see how it turns out....

I received my package today, I can't wait to try it.

The tea comes packaged really nicely.  And I love the back- it tells you where your tea comes from and how to brew it.

Although, I have to say since it was an Oolong I did not let my water come to a boil.  I also did 1 tbs per 8oz of tea, not 4 tbs.  But, I did steep for 3 minutes.

It smells amazing!!  The lavender smells really florally, but I have to say I love it.

I also love the rolled oolong... and then when it is in the water it unfurls.  It is called the agony of the leaves.

I think this is a great tea, my only issue is the lavender overpowers the lemon.  I wish maybe it was a little less lavender and a little more lemon.
But, I think it is a beautiful tea.  The flavors are strong and blend well together.  I am a fan.
