http://www.liptontea.com/product/detail/927932/sparkling-lemonade-iced-tea

This was on sale the other day and I thought I would try it.  I try the lemonade iced tea first and it was okay, but I have to say the raspberry had even more of an aftertaste.  I'd give it a 1.5 out of 5.  I will not be drinking this again.  That is just my thought....

Pumpkin scones!!!

I love these Scones!!  Drink some chai and it puts you in holiday mood

Pumpkin Scones                              Kerrie Kaufmann

2 c. all-purpose flour

7 T. sugar

1 T. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. ground cinnamon

½ tsp. ground nutmeg

¼ tsp. ground cloves

¼ tsp. ground ginger

6 T. cold butter

½ c. canned pumpkin

3 T. half-and-half

1 large egg

Powdered Sugar Glaze

1 c. powdered sugar

1 T. powdered sugar

2 T. whole milk

Spiced Glaze

1 c. powdered sugar

3 T. powdered sugar

2 T. whole milk

¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg

1 pinch ginger

1 pinch ground cloves

TO MAKE THE SCONES:.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or line with parchment paper. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices in a large bowl. Using a pastry knife, fork, or food processor, cut butter into the dry ingredients until mixture is crumbly and no chunks of butter are obvious. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, whisk together pumpkin, half and half, and egg. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Form the dough into a ball. Pat out dough onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a 1-inch thick rectangle (about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide). Use a large knife or a pizza cutter to slice the dough twice through the width, making three equal portions. Cut those three slices diagonally so that you have 6 triangular slices of dough. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 14–16 minutes. Scones should begin to turn light brown. Place on wire rack to cool.

TO MAKE THE PLAIN GLAZE:

Mix the powdered sugar and 2 tbsp milk together until smooth. When scones are cool, use a brush to paint plain glaze over the top of each scone.

AS THAT WHITE GLAZE FIRMS UP, MAKE THE SPICED ICING:

Combine the ingredient for the spiced icing together. Drizzle this thicker icing over each scone and allow the icing to dry before serving (at least 1 hour). A squirt bottle works great for this, or you can drizzle with a whisk.

My sister made these for me 10/2015

I was out geocaching and a cache took me to Peet's.
So i figured in honor of finding the cache
I should treat myself to a chai.

Peet's carries the Mighty Tea brand- which I am a fan of!

These three guys were running the store when I came in.  They were a hoot!!!  Very friendly and funny.  I would say go and in and just say hi and grab a cup of tea!!!

The chai was good.  I am a fan of something  a little stronger spices, but it was still very good....and the employees make it worth going back.  Some places the employees have no personality- these guys were not lacking personality!!  I'd go back if I was in the area.

My Halloween Outfit!!!

Attempt #1- it was a fail!!!  so, I posted it online to get peoples thoughts on how to make it better.

someone sent me this picture- which was a huge help.
I made the straps shorter and thinner.  I folded the edges in, and lastly I made a bigger tag.

now I'm pleased and not embarrassed to wear- haha .  Attempt #2 was a success!!

Went to di Tazza Halloween morning for Dirty Chai and pastries.

My nephew in Washington - tricker treating....
My niece- trick or treating in Washington.

di Tazza in Vancouver WA

lots of fun tea choices.  Next time I'm getting a "Dirty Chai Latté". I learned it was chai with a shot of espresso.

I did not get this- but it looked great!!  (okay, I actually got one on Saturday- it was great!!)

Lavender Bleu Tea Room in West Linn OR

While visiting my sister, we always find a fun place for tea.  We ate in OR at Lavender Bleu- it was really yummy!!!!

There were 10 tables in the tea house.

You walk through a cute shop and then come to this courtyard and into the tea house.

We started with sherbet to cleanse our pallet

Then we got a cup of broccoli cheese soup.  We think it was a child's tea cup.  It was cute.

I had  lavender Earl Grey tea, it was great.  I was glad that they steeped it in the back.  Some tea places put loose leaf tea in the pot and then it over steeps by the time you want a second cup.  But, this way, they did the correct temperature for the tea that we each individually picked out.

The  top tier were Sweets, they were nice....we were so full that we could not eat it all.

The middle tier had Scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and jam, along with fruit.

What a fun lunch with my sister!!!!!

The bottom tier, was my favorite!!  I loved the savory treats.  Cucumber sandwiches, Salmon Paini, red pepper and artichoke pinwheels, turkey sandwiches, and spinach quiche.
