Relay for Life Tea

Enjoyed tea with my mom, two aunts, and several friends to support Wooster Relay for Life.

I skipped the speaker and only went for the tea.  It was a gorgeous day and I wanted to work outside with dad.  So, I spent the morning drinking tea with mom and the afternoon in the yard with dad.  Nice way to spend a day!

The food was scrumptious!  They did an outstanding job.

Verdant Kitchen Ginger Turmeric Green Tea

 

I sprained my knee in Thailand- falling out of a boat and a tuk tuk in the same day.  And the swelling in my knee has been effecting my baker's cyst and my arthritis.  So, I read the turmeric is a natural way to reduce swelling.  I was super nervous to taste it, thinking it might taste like bark- lol!!!  But, I actually enjoyed it.

My chiropractor said if I enjoyed turmeric tea there probably wasn't much turmeric in the tea.  hahaha. 

I may try to make this myself, but in the mean time, I will enjoy this tea.  And I love the cute wooden scoop that came along with the tea.

Smuckers Pickwick Herbal Tea, Wild Raspberry Rose

I went with my friend for lunch and ran into another friend!!  I love that my town is the home of Smuckers!  I am proud of all that Smuckers does for our community.  I love the family.  And I can say that because I was their nanny for 2.5 years.  The family is terrific.  They do so much good in the area.

While waiting for my food I was wondering about the store and noticed tea.  I had no idea that Smuckers owned a tea company!  But yes, Smuckers is the distributor for Pickwick tea.

I enjoyed a cup of tea that afternoon.  I was able to get two cups out of the one bag.  The flavor was very nice.  I may try mixing it with mint and make it cold this summer.

My friend Melanie and I went to Simply Smuckers for lunch the other day.  We got these little lunch boxes of food. Not bad for less than $7.00!!!

Chicken feta burger was AMAZING!!!!  So yummy

Grindlewald tea mug

My great (or is it great great) grandparents on my dad's side are from Grindlewald Switzerland.  I had a good friend who went there in 2015 and she bought me tea and this fun mug.

Ingredients organic chamomile flowers, organic lemon balm leaves, organic apple pieces, organic lavender, organic linden leaves 

 

I love this tea!  It is refreshing and so yummy.  I love the hint of lavender in it.  The only draw back is that it does have chamomile in it and I am not a huge chamomile lover.  But, I still give this tea thumbs up.  I think I am going to make it as iced tea next time.

Snapple Straight Up Tea- sorta sweet rooibos

I discovered a new Snapple and I think I like it.  Now, it's no Snapple Peach, but it is still good.  You can definitely taste the rooibos in the tea.  Rooibos teas almost have a carmel taste to them. Give it a try and let me know what you think!!!!

 Rooibos is not technically "tea" - at least that is what the purest say.  And I am not a purest, so I consider it and herbal teas still teas.    White/green/yellow/oolong/black tea is all made from the leaves from the camellia sinensis plant. The end product simply depends on how long the leaves have been fermented.   Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) or Red Bush on the other hand is a completely different plant grown in the Western Cape Province. The leaves are actually green but turn red when oxidized.

This was in my Christmas stocking.  Yes, I am still getting a stocking at 43!!  I get a stocking until I get married. It is a perk of being single.  What a fun way to carry bagged tea.

I love the Made in Oregon store!  It's in the Portland OR Airport, and I shop there once a year on my way home from visiting my sister.
