Tea Zone, Plum Tea Columbus

I was in Columbus for a funeral and then I realized I was close to Tea Zone.  I had only been here once before, but I couldn't stop thinking about the Plum tea and the chestnut bread.

5025 Olentangy River Rd

As soon as I walked in, I noticed the empty bin, and I knew that they were out of the chestnut bread...and I was correct.  This bread reminds me of a cookie my mom used to make at Christmas.

The have lots of great bakery items here.

There is lots of seating options.  The have table and chairs in different sections of the cafe.

My favorite place to sit is "on the floor" that is where I sat last time.  You take off your shoes before you enter the seating area.  Then you enjoy your tea and treats in the seating area.  The do have cushions that you can sit on.

There are several of these built in tea tables along the back wall.

They have many great tea options. And the prices in this cafe are really great. And with so many options.

They have cakes and Bingsu too.  I had the shaved ice, Korean Bingsu, last time I visited, it was really tasty.

I am a big fan of the plum tea!  The prices are great here, the staff is friendly, the cafe is clean.  This is such a fun and unique place.  If you are in the area, check out this place!

Asterisk in Cuyahoga Falls and Ethnic Grocery Stores.

I headed to Cuyahoga Falls one afternoon to check out some ethnic grocery stores.  And I thought I would give Asterisk another shot.  I was there a few years ago and was not overly impressed with the service.   I have to say they have improved, yay!

Last time I was here, they received one tea cup out of five.  This time the received three tea cups.

They do have some nice regular teas too. If I were to sit and hang out, I may have tried one or two of these teas.

The man who waited on my was very friendly and helpful.  He took a lot of care and time to put my chai latte together.

I do love the look of the cafe.  The exposed brick is very fun and the lighting gives it a gallery feel.

Fun looking pastries.

The chai was good. It is a house blend and I thought it was good.  A bit sweet, but okay.  The prices seem a bit steep, but I guess considering the area it is expected.  I probably won't visit again, but I am glad I did give it another shot.

Then I headed to my favorite Indian grocery store.  It has the best Indian items!  They have the chai clay cups I like.  I heard with tariffs some of these imported prices may jump, so I wanted to get more before they did.  They also have great spices for tea too.

Then I drove just a little further to find this Yemen grocery store...and I was excited to find this Shawarma place right beside it!  I picked up some wonderful humus here.

I had so much fun in the Yemen grocery store!  I was like being back in Iraq.  All these items took me back to Erbil. I found some cookies I had enjoyed while having tea in Erbil that I loved.  I discovered I love date cookies.  This is a must visit if you are in the are!!

I just love these date cookies!

Teas and more teas.

More teas.

A lot of fun treats.  This a great place for cookies and snacks that will pair very well with tea.

Tea pots, carafes, and cups.

I love all the pistachio treats too.  They have it all here.

I almost squealed with delight when I found Kunafa!  I had this the very last night in Erbil and I instantly fell in love. The salty cheese and sweetness of the dessert was unlike anything I had ever had. I am saving it to make some night with some Iraqi tea.

Yummy dates!

Sure House has their fall drinks!

Guess who has their fall drinks out?!
I do really enjoy Sure House for their homemade syrups.
I did the Pumpkin Pie Chai.

Sure House would get 5 teacups from me, but they seem to be pricey as far as I am concerned.  But their drinks are the best around that is for sure.  The staff is always friendly too!

Boba Bowl, Lavender Milk Tea with Blueberry Boba, Wooster

"This is a difficult post to make and one that we were never looking forward to making. We have decided that after four and a half wonderful years, we will be closing our Wooster Boba Bowl and bidding farewell to a place that has fueled the start of our empire. Our last day open will be Saturday, October 18, 2025...."

I read this post about Boba Bowl, so I wanted to be sure you go before they closed. I had a coupon for a free drink so I went and picked one up for myself and my friend. My friend was still at work, so I thought I would drop off one to her too.

I ordered the lavender milk tea with the blueberry boba.

I thought it was a good lavender milk tea.  I wish them all the best!  They say they will still be around in their boba tea truck.  Watch for them!

Salted Grounds, London Fog with blackberry Earl Grey Tea

I was so excited to try a new tea truck!  Well, coffee truck that carried tea!

Salted Grounds has been only been open a few months.  I hope they do really well!  If  you see them, try them out!

I decided to try out the London Fog with blackberry Earl Grey tea.

The gals are super helpful and kind.

I give them 5 out of 5.  The prices are on track.  The gals running it were helpful and friendly.  And the tea flavor was great.
She will soon have fall flavors, check them out!
