This Whittard Tea Shop was just minutes from my hotel, The Stand.
It was fun to walk in and see and smell all their teas.
Whittard has been around since 1886.
There are so many teas, it was over whelming. I decided to go with the Covent Gardens Blend, since that was the area of England where we were.
They had some pretty dishes for sale too. This was a fun little shop to explore.
When I got home it was one of the first teas I tried. I tried to be good and not buy a lot of teas. I felt I did pretty good, just coming home with these, lol.
I not sure where I picked up my tea strainer, but it is super fun. It is like a woven basket. It is just tightly woven enough that the tea leaves aren't getting into the tea water.
This is a black tea, so my water temperature is over 200 degrees and I am steeping for 5 minutes.

The one thing I picked up in London was adding milk to my tea. I didn't do it on a regular basis before. Always with chai I added milk but that was about it. Now, I want it in all my black teas. My sister went to London in college and she said she also picked that up too.
The cute little red milk pitcher is from Alice's Antiques in Notting Hill England.
This is a really nice tea. I love the black notes and the light, soft notes of floral. The milk is a nice addition too. I feel very European when I have milk in my black tea now.
