My Wednesday Wanderings took me to Holmes County.
I first went to Charm to Honey & Fig for tea and lunch.
The leaves are just starting to turn.
Honey & Fig, is right across the street from Keim Lumber.
4450 STATE ROUTE 557, MILLERSBURG OH ( it has a Millersburg address, but it is in Charm)
Not sure if you can tell in this photo below to the right, is engraved with the word CHARM.
There is nice area for parking in the back.
The boutique area used to be in the back of the cafe. They now have more seating there. And the boutique items got moved to where you first walk in the cafe.
The boutique has some clothes, jewelry, coffee, plants, and other miscellaneous items.
I was super sad that I missed the breakfast menu and that they no longer carried flights. But, I was able to find a bowl I really enjoyed and I ordered two small drinks.
I ordered the Hawaiian Bowl, it was very tasty!!! I do wish for $13.99 it came with chips or something. But, the flavors were great.
I will have to come back for the Farmers Breakfast bowl. My dad had the breakfast bowl last time we were here and it looked fantastic. He wasn't even able to finish it.
Along the windows they had plant beds. I loved it!! The plants sat in the boxes and then were also for sale. I thought it was super clever.
Water, pumpkin roll chai, and caramel apple matcha
with the Hawaiian bowl.
The pumpkin roll chai was good, very sweet. There was almost a perfumy flavor that I couldn't pin down, but it was good.
The caramel apple matcha was really very nice, but it lost the matcha for me. The caramel was too over powering.
I am giving both drinks 3 tea cups. There was something in the pumpkin roll chai that seemed off to me in the flavor/syrup. I wished that I could taste the matcha in the caramel apple. I thought for the size of the cup it should have been less. Not bad drinks, they were good, just some small things I didn't care for or thought they could improve upon.
I then went to the Inn at Honey Run, the reason for the entire trip. I wanted to walk the outdoor art museum that they had. I saw pictures on line and it looked fun and it was a great day for a walk.
Little did I know that it cost $20 for people who were not staying at the Inn. I decided to pass on the walk. I hung with the sheep for a bit and then drove into Millersburg.
Millersburg has some cute down town shops that I walked around in. The main drag is on Rt 39. I went in two antique stores and some boutiques.
It is always fun to explore and find new things. Even though I did not do what I planned the day was fun and I am glad I went wandering.
They also have some fun discount stores. I went into their MCC store- Save and Serve on 83. It was nice and clean. They have lots of deals there.
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples!
