Scones from Scratch

I discovered Scones from Scratch this fall at the 720 Market in Hartville.

I made my first trip to a 720 Market event.  This one was Oct 5th in Hartville, Ohio.

720 Markets are so fun! Each month they are in a different city.  They have been around since 2016.

This booth was hopping at the 720 Market in Hartville.

Hartville had this building painted, I thought it looked great.  The artist,

eyerusssss

,
(https://www.instagram.com/eyerusssss/) did a great job.  I know I always say it, but I wish more businesses painted the brick walls with fun art.

Eyerusssss has painted in Canal Fulton, Umbrella Alley, and other places.

If you have never been, I recommend finding a Saturday and going.  There are a lot of great vendors.  And you can see fun parts of maybe a new city.  Hartville had a lot going on.  It was a blast.

Look at all the vendors that were there!  It was so fun wondering around the closed streets seeing all the talented vendors and listening to the live music.

The families story.

They have so many great flavors!!!  They had gluten free scones too, they were more, but I loved that they had that option.

Here are the Christmas flavors...

They have one last show this 2024 year!! (November 23, 10-4 at the Jackson Middle School)  Then they start up again in the Spring.

I got some to give as gifts... and two for myself.  I made the pumpkin spice scones first to try and then I am saving the raspberry lemon scones for Christmas when my sister is in.

All you need is cream! I decided to use a mix of cream and pumpkin spice oat milk...since they were pumpkin spice scones.

I poured the entire mix into a bowl.  Then added a cup of cream and 1/3 C of pumpkin spice oat milk.  (I think I should have added less pumpkin spice oat milk only because there is more liquid in the oat milk and made them super moist- more like a soft cookie than a scone).

I added the cream/oat milk and stirred.

I sprayed my cookie sheet and put the scones on the sheet.

I baked 9 1/2 minutes at 425 degrees.

Mine were not all even in size, so I got 15 out of the one package.  If you think about it, if you were to buy a scone at a cafe they are around $3-$5 each!!  So, to make 12-15 for less than $13 is less than $1 a scone is a real deal.  Plus, you are supporting small business and you are getting all natural ingredients...things you buy at the grocery store anyway.

She recommends only keeping them on hand for 6 months.

They were incredible!!!  I shared some at work and everyone loved them.

So easy to make and incredibly moist and delicious.

These are going to make fantastic gifts this Christmas.

On a side note, after I got my scones from the 720 Market, I pulled up the company on line.  I looked and found we had a friend in common on Facebook.  But, the odd thing was it was a friend I met at Bible College in MN!!  And she and her husband were missionaries in Brazil  And that is where they met her.  I love God stories like that!!!!
