Ju Hua Pu Er Cha....Chrysanthemum and Fruit Tea on Christmas Day

Trying some new tea for Christmas.

The container is really cool.  It is spilt in half and screws together.  One side holds the tea, and one side holds the dried fruit to add to your tea.

I discovered Chrysanthemum tea in Malaysia and since then I have been a fan.  I love the light floral flavor.

With this tea, I get the Chrysanthemum tea and then each cup is different- because I can add a different dried fruit to each up.

I selected the dragon fruit today to add to the tea.

I left the dragon fruit in the tea the entire time.
This is a Pu Er tea, which is a fermented tea and it gets better as it ages.  You can also typically find Pu er teas as a cake tea.  You chip off a portion of the tea.  It is from the Yunnan Provence of China.  I treat it like a black tea- I boil the water and steep for 3-5 minutes.

I found this to be a fun and unique tea!

I picked up this tea at the Asian Market in Cleveland as well.

Being single, I still get a stocking :)

My mom made one of these about 45 years ago.  We used it all the time while l was growing up.  I decided to replicate it.  Now I get it out every Christmas and think of the fun of growing and playing with the calendar.

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
