Day 7 ended at the Grand Majidi Mall and some tea at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
Majidimall Erbil – Shopping Paradise – Shopping Paradide of Erbil
The mall is beautiful and very impressive. There was a Gameland in the ground level. There were bumper cars and an arcade. There was a bank in the mall, there is a fun water fountain out front, lots of clothing stores, the grocery store, perfume shops, and much more.
The evening started off with dinner at Trendy Chicken at the mall. It was very western and very tasty. The Kurdish food has been good and fun to try, but it was nice to have some food that tasted more like home.
We then went to the grocery store that was in the mall. It was big and had lots of items to pick from. I enjoyed looking at al the tea and tea accessories.
Earl Grey has become one of my favorite teas. They had lots of Earl Grey teas to pick from.
My friend also told me that they will add perfume to their tea. I am not sure why, lol. I decided to purchase some and try it for myself. I had a local help me with which one to purchase. There are several kinds. This is what I went with....I will let you know what I think.
There were all kinds of things to enjoy at the store. I bought some of the treats on the lower right. I was able to sample the them and they were delicious. I took some to work to share as well.
We ate and enjoyed this treat at work.
After eating and shopping we stopped in for tea!
The last time I had Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf tea was in 2019 in Malaysia. I was excited to have some of their tea again. I got the iced chai latte. My friend had recommended the African Sunrise, but it was not available this evening.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has been around since 1963.
1500 IQD or Denarii = $1
3000 Denarii = $2
4500 Denarii = $3
6000 Denarii = $4

We bought some treats at the grocery store and brought them into the cafe to eat while we drank tea.
The cookies I bought had walnuts in the them and they were really good in a hot tea.
The treats my friend bought.
I thought the tea was good, but creamier with more milk flavor than chai tea flavor. I am giving it 4 teacups, just because I would have liked more Chai spice. It was cold and refreshing though. The staff was friendly, the cafe was clean. It was a fun stop to make while we were at the mall.
I got a cold chai and my friend got a hot chai.
The cookies below on the left at the cookies that my friend bought (I think the cookies she bought had dates in them. They were softer and moister). I saw these cookies around a lot while we were out shopping different places. She said it another treat that people buy to have with tea. I thought that they were tasty.
One of the buildings we passed. It seemed about 55% of the apartment buildings in the city had come sort of light feature happening on them. I enjoyed the light displays.
The sunsets did not disappoint here either!
1 Peter 4:10-11, ESV
10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
