Justea Purple Mint

https://justea.com/product/purple-mint-tin

I bought this Justea Purple Mint Tea, because I had purchased the Justea Purple Rain Tea and I loved it.  It's super fun that each tea tin comes with a hand carved spoon from Kenya.

This tea was really great as well.  I am thrilled with the purple tea!!!  I made this tea iced and it's wonderful.

From the Justea website,

"PURPLE TEA: THE MAGIC TEA

Over 25 years ago, the Tea Research Foundation of Kenya (TRFK) developed this new Purple cultivar and small-scale Kenyan farmers planted the seedlings in 2011. Purple Leaf Tea is a cultivar of Camellia Sinensis (species) Assamica (varietal). It is called Purple Tea because the bushes grow purple leaves in Kenyan tea gardens. The leaves are purple because they contain super-antioxidants called anthocyanins. Don’t be shocked by its bright colour, This is not a gmo plant; it is completely natural and part of the tea family!
To craft the best Purple Tea cup flavour and retain the most health benefits, it requires its own unique recipe. In the garden, only the freshest Purple leaves are plucked, older leaves can’t be plucked because then the leaf colour will have started to fade from purple back to green. Unlike a Green Tea, the leaves require a withering process to ensure a sweeter taste and moisture reduction. Then the leaves are panned/steamed similar to a green tea, rolled and then dried. So Purple Tea is withered like an Oolong/Black, panned/steamed like a Green, and plucked carefully like a White Tea! And of course, Purple Tea can only be made from a purple leaf.

BENEFITS OF PURPLE TEA:

Purple Tea leaves have more antioxidants than any other tea leaf! They also contain a type of antioxidant called Anthocyanins, which is what turns the tea leaves purple. This is the same antioxidant found in ‘superfoods’ like Acai berries, Pomegranates and blueberries. The medicinal value of Purple Tea is endless! The leaves have anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer properties and reduce cholesterol, boost cognitive function and prevent colds and flus. And because of how this tea is produced, it has half the caffeine of Green Tea."

I have been drinking it cold/iced.  I love it, it's so refreshing!!!

Cleveland Tea Revival - Masala Chai

http://clevelandtearevival.com/

I was in Cleveland with a friend for lunch. We tried a great Vietnamese restaurant in the area.  I saw that this tea shop was close, so we drove over. to check it out.  I have wanted to go here for a long time.  It sounded fun when I would  read posts on line.  Plus, I love to try new tea!!!!

It's super quaint looking from the outside.  We might have sat outside, but it was humid out...and we were on short time frame.

Here is the "Kitchen" area.  It was small looking, but there were several choices of things to eat and  many choices of things to drink.

There were several things to buy that were tea related.

I would have tried the Kombucha- but I had already ordered my hot chai.  The chai was super hot, so it let it cool down first.  Then I realized there was no milk or sugar in it- I thought that chai always was made with milk and sugar.
I asked and she was kind enough to add milk to the chai and I added sugar- then it was perfect.

I also purchased some tea- Church Avenue Lavender.   Which is a tea I now love!!!

A fun place to discover!  I wish someone would pay me to drive around and discover new tea!!  Think I could get a show on the Cooking Channel discovering teas of the area.

Helping my mom in the kitchen.  I am helping with the lemon curd tarts.

I have chocolate pudding cups... I want them to look like chai cups.  I know that they don't- but they are cute and the kids like them.

Amazing food!!!

mom and I using our favorite sets of dishes and drinking tea.

It was a great day for a tea party.  It was just gorgeous out!!!  I love tea party day!!!

My mom goes all out with the food. I love love love the things she makes.  I would hire her for my tea shop any day!!!

The queen is in!!!  I also had this flag made my my parents for the party.  I had it made on groupon for less than $10!!  If I find the company makes the flags, I will add it here.

I love this tea set!!!!!!

The Carpenter’s Cup- cold chai latte

I live in Orrville, about 10 minutes from Smithville.  I have heard several people talk about The Carpenter's Cup- and I had yet to try it.  I had a weekday off and was in the area, so I decided to try it.

The shop is really cute from the outside.  The landscaping is really nice and impressive.  I love what they have going on here.

It was warm out, so I went with a cold Chai latte. It was very refreshing and very tasty.

The gal who waited on me was very friendly.   I also really enjoyed the Christian music playing in the background.  I was very pleased with the shop.

I wish my town had a tea shop- have I mentioned that before, hahaha!!  This is a really nice home town coffee/tea shop.  I am glad I discovered it.

Kombucha at work

I love my kombucha.  I drink it all the time.  I have several co-workers who have really enjoyed it as well.  I love bringing in new blends for them to try.

I love playing with the blends and trying new flavors and sometimes seeing if the guys can guess the flavors inside!

These are just two of my favorite taste testers....

Here are Doug and Scott.  They were doing a taste testing and seeing if they could guess the kombucha flavors.  Doug has an amazing pallet and he was able to figure it out.  He realized it had lavender in it...I knew there was lavender in the kombucha and I could barely taste it.

English Tea Shop Green Tea Tropical - iced tea

Don't be confused with English Tea Store

Don't be afraid to try new teas.  Don't be afraid to buy teas at places like TJ Maxx, Home Goods,  Outlet stores, markets or any place you see tea.  Tea doesn't have to be super expensive, yes, sometimes you get what you pay for...but if you don't pay much, then it is okay to try it a couple of times and realize it might not be for you.  But, you may realize you love it!!!  Try it hot, try it cold and if you still don't like it- maybe a friend will.  We all have different taste buds.

I love to make tea in my Iced Tea Maker.  Super easy and super quick. Add 4-5 tea bags, a little sugar and some water...and BOOM!  you have a gallon of tea!

I decided to make this tea into an iced tea and I loved it.  Again, I can not say it often enough, play with your tea!!!!  In the summer especially, I love to make iced tea with all kinds of different teas.  The teas I love hot, I love cold.  It is fun to play!!!!

Energy Boost Blast, Kae Apothecary

My pod pal, Lesley, from work brought in some loose leaf tea for me to try.  She got it from her sister in law in Iowa.  I tried it and I really liked it!!!  The flavors in the tea are super - I am a huge fan of hibiscus!  This tea has peppermint, hibiscus, ginger, ginkgo, and red raspberry leaf.

I am a fan of these tea!!!
