Algebra Teahouse and a variety of teas, Cleveland OH

I was in Cleveland, Ohio- Little Italy...

I was here before and I could not wait to come back.  They have good Middle Eastern food and great tea.  It is super unique and different. Every time I have been here it has been busy, which is a great sign too.

Turkish Tea, South African. and Fijan Green
These are the three teas I tried. I have to say the ones I tried the last time I was here were better and more unique.  I did not think these three had as much flavor.

*****

Turkish Tea with apples

This is a black tea with apples.  It was tasty, but I would have liked more tea flavor.  I did appreciate though that they bring me the tea in a steeper and a container for the steeper.  I was able to be sure it steeped for 5 minutes and then take out the tea.
I like that the tea is not expensive, so I can try multiple ones when I come.  But, also, these mugs don't really hold much tea either.  They are big and chunky, so $3 for 8 ounces of tea is super reasonable!!!

Fijan Green

This tea was not super flavorful, but what I did I get was good.  I got some pineapple and some papaya notes.  And I am not sure what ancient green tea is, but it was nice.  I did not get grassy flavors in this tea.   This is a green tea, so I steeped it for 3 minutes.
And I love the tea prices here!   $3 for a cuppa is very reasonable - also knowing it is a unique blend.

*******

Southern African

I should have known better! It is South African, I should have realized it was Rooibos tea...not just an herbal tea.   I had trouble getting past the red rooibos tea flavor.  I did not get a lot of lavender flavor either.  This was just okay for me.

Last time I was here I tried the Libyan and Southern Soul and they were delicious, I would highly recommend those teas.

I love that they have Ethnic Teas, this is what inspired my Passport to Tea 2023.  People getting to explore teas from other countries and cultures.

My friend Abby and I got a few dishes and shared them.
I had the falafel and hummus plate.  We shared the Samosa Plate and Fool Madams.  I really like this place and I have to overlook that it might not be the cleanest place.

The food was delicious!  Very flavorful and filling.  The portions and prices are great too.

Ahhh, these friends!  They all love to eat adventurously and travel to unique places. I love sharing life with them.

The owner makes pottery and wooden pieces that he sells there too.

I love Cleveland the little villages....and it is only an hour away.  And if you go on a Sunday afternoon traffic is super light...which I love too, since I am not a fan of driving.

Check out the Algebra House....
