Homemade Journals

http://www.artpartynow.com/Products.html

This summer when our office went to Maumee Bay there was an art show.  I met this lady, Michelle Kepford, who makes recycled crafts.  I bought some great journal/notebooks from her.  I also bought a purse made out of a book.   I bought two journals that I gave to my nephews that were made from McDonalds containers. They are cute little books that they can draw in at church and they Velcro shut.  I also got one for my niece that is made from a Cheerio box.
Another fun one I purchased- it is made from a coffee filter container.  I have contacted Michelle to see if she can make some for me from Tea boxes. What fun little hostess gifts these will make, or stocking stuffers.  And she said yes!!!  I am soooo excited.  I have been saving tea boxes and I am hoping I can send her the tea boxes and she can make me journals.  She was selling these journals for a variety of prices..   When I have my tea shop, I want to sell this journals!!!!

The paper is really nice and thick.  I would say that there are probably 30-40 pages in this journal

Here are some boxes I plan on using.  If you are local to me and you have tea boxes you are not using, you can pass them along to me :)  I think one of the best will be the big box from Red Rose.
I think it will be great fun to give a gift of tea and a journal!

  1. Hello Kerrie, Shelly just sent me a copy of your blog, how sweet of you , she is really excited to be of service with the journals, and I am her Mother, whom was also helping her the day of the festival when you discovered the journals. I am so proud of her for being who she is. I also will look for several boxes for you and it just so happens that I love Old Rose Tea, and just bought a large box, how funny. Have a wonderful day and God Bless you. It just proves you never know the connections you will acquire in life, live to the fullest for the glory of the Lord. Thank you for listening. Marilyn Kepford.

Thank you for your sweet note!! Your daughters booth at the art festival was my favorite one! I bought a purse and 4 journals. I loved her creative style. And it is such a wonderful treat to meet another sister in Christ. May God bless you.
    Thanks again for your note
    Kerrie
