Blend of Grace- Winter Spice Chai and Bursting Berries Smoothy

It was a cold day, but we made a run for drinks!  It was the last week Blend of Grave was serving for the season....and they were just down the road from our office.

My friend kept telling me she loved the Bursting Berries Smoothy...so yes, freezing out, but I got the smoothy.  It was worth it!  Bursting with berries for sure!!

I also then got the Winter Spice Chai.  It was great!!!  And that is not just any donut there...that is the protein donut- which makes it okay!  It was delicious, pricey but delicious.  I probably wouldn't get it again just cause it was $3. But, I would get both drinks again.  Probably not at the same time again, lol.

I do give both drinks 5 tea cups out of 5!

The winter spice chai was very nice.  Not too spicey, but I got the spice notes of cardamom and cinnamon and notes of brown sugar.   The gals are super friendly and helpful.  I am a fan!

Bell Store Chai...yes, gas station chai

I was shocked to see I could get a chai latte at the Bell Store.

You can get it hot or iced.

You can get a variety of flavors.
I first tried the gingerbread- it was really good.  But, I hated to think what the sugar count was in it.

2 tea cups- taste and price were good, but sugar was too high.

I then got the sugar free Vanilla...I could not even finish it.

0 Tea cups, flavor was bad!!!!

So yes, you can get chai at a gas station...but, why would you, lol!

Make it cheaper and healthier at home.  This is a pass for me.

Gluten Free Scones by Sticky Fingers

I tried the gluten free Scones from Sticky Fingers, they are around $7 at World Market.

Super easy to make...just add water.

Mix and put on a cookie sheet and bake!

I then made some tea to go with them.  I am fan of the tea spot tea!

I gotta say they were super dry!  I tried adding lemon curd into the mix, lol.  I thought I had tried the gluten free ones before, but maybe not.  At least the tea was good.

I had one more container of lemon gluten free and hoped these were better and I would then take to work and share.
Sadly they were not.  I am not sharing these with anyone!!!  I would toss them, but I did not want to waste them.

I froze these.  And when I do eat them, I add lemon curd directly on them.  I will get them out and eat them when I am desperate.  I really can't get past the dry taste.

I say stick with the non-gluten free scones from Sticky Fingers...or make them yourself.  Or try Scones from Scratch.  The family in Canton Ohio that makes amazing scone mixes.

Sister Tea at home featuring tiesta Chai Love Tea and a trip to Stan Hywet

My sister came in from Washington in early December.  This was our family Christmas time.  We ate fun food, we decorated gingerbread houses, put up my parents tree, spent hours together, visited festive places, and enjoyed the limited time.

Our first day was started off with tea time!

I made Scones by Scratch scones, they were outstanding!!  The ones I made today were White Chocolate Peppermint.  Then I also made Sinful Cinnibun Crackers.

I made tiesta Tea, Chai Love lattes.   It was delicious!
I made the pot of tea and added some oat milk and frothed in a little vanilla syrup.

I put the sweet treats on this fun plate tray I found at MCC in Kidron.

I then made these to go with lunch.
Crescent rolls
ham
cranberries
and brie

combine and bake

Later the day we headed to Akron's Stan Hywet estate.
