Sunshine Daydream Latte Iced, Woodstock Cafe, Vermilion

I was in Vermilion Ohio in May.   I love Vermilion, I lived here for a year when I worked at Beulah Beach as a guest service coordinator.  It is such a cute town.  When I lived there Woodstock was not there.  But, it is now and I love coming here for their fun teas.  The food is good too, a bit pricey, but good.

The place is adorable.  This is kind of the vibe I want in my place.  Eclectic and a bit vintage.  I also want the farmhouse with industrial feel too.  There are so many cool looks out there!!  And this is one of my favorite looks.

I asked for the coconut latte, and I got more of a chai latte with coconut syrup in it.  I was a bit disappointed and no one asked to re-do the drink.

I got the Grateful Grilled Cheese.  It was really good, a kind of treat, since I am trying to eat healthy.  I did avoid the chips, which helped me feel like I was doing okay.

ripe avocado, roasted red peppers, applewood smoked bacon, swiss, provolone, mozzarella, aged white cheddar, served on Seeded Grain Bread

Before I left I tried again to get the coconut latte that I have had in the past and loved.  I ordered the Sunshine Daydream Latte.

This still was not the drink I remembered, but it was very good.  I loved the coconut flavor and coconut flakes.

I give it a 4.  Last time I had the coconut latte it was a 5.  I need to try it again and see if it was just made by someone different.

I then headed to Beulah Beach for the annual benefit auction.  Friday night was the plant sale.  It was a windy but great night.

Goldberry Chai Latte and Golden Milk Latte, Ashland OH

It's the second annual girls outing to Goldberry in Ashland.   It's so fun to get together outside of work with these gals.  Our companies consultant has started Goldberry with his son.

The coffee and tea currently come from origins all over the world. Goldberry plans to source much of its coffee and tea components from the Sierra Norte de Puebla region of Mexico in the near future.  Goldberry works with the farmers there and their sister company, Coffee Growing Community. At least 10% of Goldberry's profits goes back to helping the Coffee Growing Community. This money helps provide spiritual. economical and social development in the Sierra Norte de Puebla communities.

They have these beautiful cookies!  I did not try them as I am trying to watch my weight, but they were tempting!

But, when it came to their new teas- I had to try them both.  I went with the hot chai and cold golden milk latte.

Us girls with Peter.

I love what they have done with their shop.  They have been here two years and are constantly adding cool new drinks and features.  Last year when we were here they just had the one large room, but now they have a new room off to the side.  The furniture in their is super fun, looks like it's all made from wooden pallets.

Everything is bright and clean.  The prices are good.  They also have free wi-fi.

I really enjoyed the hot chai.  The flavors are really good.  I had them add oat milk, which I think always adds a great depth of flavors.  The cardamon and spices are great in this chai.

The golden milk latte was really great too.  I am not sure which was my favorite.  The golden milk has the great turmeric notes.

Excellent drinks and price.

If you are in the area, I recommend you stop by here and meet the friendly staff and get a great drink.

They are right across from the blue water tank.

Cold Brew - Ohio Tea Company, Peace out Papaya

Cold brew is great- have you tried it yet?
I put in about 1 teaspoons per 8 oz of cold water, within 5-8 minutes I have cold brew tea.  It doesn't get bitter because the water is cold and you are not releasing any tanins. I can add water to the cup at least 2-3 more times throughout the day.  You can add ANY loose leaf tea to water for cold brew.

There are several ways you can cold brew- you can buy special containers or you can simply add a tea bag to your water! Easy Peasy!

What are the benefits of cold brew tea?  Cold brew tea is infused slowly over time to extract more goodness, producing a deliciously mild but flavorful taste with no hint of bitterness. And you can add water multiple times- you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Today I am making Cold Brew in bulk :)  But same rules apply, tea and cold water, steep and drink.

I love all the tea notes that come out.  It is super refreshing.  The Papaya comes out so well.

Here I am using the tea bag.  Same idea...tea in tea bag, cold water, steep, and drink.
