Ohio Tea Company, more tea

I love Ohio Tea Company!!! I love that my office has allowed us to carry this tea in our office.  Many co-workers have said how much they are enjoying having the option of good tea for them to drink.

We "needed" more tea at the office.  So, I went and picked up some great new teas at Ohio Tea Company.  They have the most amazing teas.  

I purchased some new "light, bright" teas from spring.  I am not sure when we will be back in the office  (Due to the working from home issue) to drink them, but they are there waiting for me!!

I purchased- Mango Sencha, Crime of Passion, Moroccan Mint, Bohemian Raspberry, African Summer, and Bora Bora Mango

African Summe - Honeybush, orange peel, lemon grass, rose-hips, safflowers, with orange, and lemon flavor

Bota Bora Mango - Rooibos, dried mango, blackberry leaves, calendula petals and natural flavors,

I also filled some other teas that were getting low.  How incredible is it to have these options at work!!!  I am blessed to have these teas at my office.

Day 12, Featuring Charleston Plantation Peach Tea

I have been tea blogging since 2013 and this is my 1,300th post!!!

Day 12, of working from home.  This is the new normal.  I took my temp and I have no fever, so I am working!!

I have taken to featuring a different tea while I work from home.  Today is Charleston Plantation Tea.

Did you know that there is only ONE tea plantation in all of the US!  Charleston is the only place in the US with the right growing conditions.

The tea plantation goes back to 1666 and is 127 acres.

My supervisor and his wife went to Charleston and they brought me back this tea.  I love it!! This is a nice black tea with great notes of peach.  This would be nice with milk added to it too.

With this black tea you want your water over 200 degrees.  You also want to steep 3-5 minutes.  I steep on the lower end, so I can make 2 cups of tea with one serving.

I love seeing the sun come in my window at 8 am!  I think it will be harder to stay home with this nice weather.  It just makes me want to get out and do things.  I want to geocache with my nephews, bike ride and work outside.  I know I can do most of those things, but it'll be tough not to see people while doing this.

This tea is really good and I love using this mug.  It was a gift and I like to think the mug is saying to  me, "Hey there hottie".  I giggle every time I use the mug!

We had a ladies night at church.  I did the hot drink bar.  It was so fun!!  We had over 40 ladies sign up for this event!!  And I was in my element- making and sharing tea.

This milk frother was a product test...yes, another product test!  This is a nice frother- you can froth the milk hot or cold.

It might be pricey, but it does work well.  And just think of all the money you save from not buying drinks from those coffee shops.  You can make perfectly frothed drinks at home and save yourself some money.

When I froth milk I like to add some syrup to the milk.  I am not a huge fan of milk in general and I like the addition of a flavor.  

If you don't have fancy syrups, you can use regular sugar or even maple syrup that you would use on  your pancakes or waffles.  Get creative.

You can also use almond milk, coconut milk, and soy milk- but you don't get the "lift" you do from milk.  But, it does heat it and  adds some froth to it.  Plus, it is a healthier option then milk

Day 11, Featuring Cardamom & Curry, White Ganges Tea

WHITE TEA

Today, I went with this healthy white tea.  It is light and delicate with notes of citrus but has a bit of kick with the black peppercorns.  I love it.

With a white tea you want a low temp for your water, no boiling.  I would say less than 170 degrees.  The steep time can vary.  I like to get multiple cups of tea from one serving, so I steep for 2-3 minutes.  Since it is a more delicate tea you can steep it longer if  you want, but I would not exceed 6 minutes.  The main thing is to not get you water too hot.  If you get your water too hot, you will bruise the tea leaves and it will be bitter

I actually got 3 really nice cups of tea out of one serving. 

When  I bought this tea, I loved talking to the man who sold it.  He as telling me about all the natural and healing properties that are in their teas.  I like that.  I drink tea because I love the taste and I love the naturally wonderful items that they add.

Day 10, Plum Deluxe Tea, Coconut a la Creme Black Tea

Just a little reminder for you today.  Try to mindfully go through this list daily.  Make a choice to be happy and dwell on the good things in your life.

1. I am grateful for a job 

2. I checked in on two friends today

3. I am letting go of running out for things I don't really need- make lunch, don't go to the store just because I can

4. I took the trash out to the garage

5. I am moving, by getting up every hour to walk to the kitchen for more water/tea

Beauty creating???  Positive thinking, praying for others, and memorizing Bible verses.

Happy 1st day of April,  No fever, so I am cleared to work.

Today I am featuring Plum Tea.  This is an online tea company.  They have really great tea!!  I did their tea of the month club for a few months.  It was always a fun surprise to see what tea I would be sent.  They feature a new tea each month.

I decided to make this into a latte. It was delicious!!!  I added a little salty caramel syrup to my milk and it was so good!!  It mixed so well with the coconut.

The flavors in this tea are so good. It has a creaminess to it.  I love it. Coconut is one of my favorite flavors ever! 

I have had some amazing co-workers over the years, but this one has to be my favorite!!  Earl Grey is the BEST. COWORKER. EVER!!!

Argo, Armenian Mint Tea

I couldn't sleep so I went for a calming and relaxing tea.  Armenian Mint is unbelievably great smelling.  It is like incredible aroma of mint.  I love the smell of this tea.

But, as good as this tea smells, it tastes even better.  I love a good mint tea and this is a great mint tea.  There is something about Armenian tea that is always so great and calming.

The mint lingers even after I drink it. It's cooling and minty.  I love the refreshing notes.

This tea is an herbal tea, there is no caffeine.  You want your water temp over 200 degrees and you steep 4-5 minutes.

Earl Grey and I love hanging out and drinking tea together.....

Day 9, Featuring Dragonfly Tea Room, Raspberry Oolong Tea

Day 9 of the new normal, working from home.  I have no fever, so I am able to work.  Can't believe it is the last day of March.

I got this tea at the Dragonfly Tea Room in Canal Fulton, Ohio. I love this tea room.  They have the most delicious tea snacks!!!  I also think their prices are some of the most reasonable around too.  This place is so much fun!!

You can purchase the loose leaf tea at the tea room.  They have a coconut Oolong and a Raspberry Oolong that I love equally.

My favorite kind of tea is Oolong.  Oolong has a really unique after taste, I just love the notes with Oolong.  

Oolong doesn't have as much caffeine as black tea, but it has more than green tea.  Black, Oolong, Green, White, Purple, Yellow, and Pu-erh are all teas created from the same plant- Camellia Sinensis. It's so cool that one plant can make so many different kinds of teas.  It's all about when the tea is harvested, how it is dried, the elevation where grown, etc. 

Anyway, something unique to Oolong tea is that the leaves are rolled.  When the water hits them they unfurl.  Oolong water temp should be less than 200, around 190-195.  Also, you should steep for 2-4 minutes.

This raspberry Oolong is great cold too.

I made Oolong tea the same way I would normally and then I poured it over ice instead of a mug.

This makes a great iced tea.  I do not add sugar, but you can.  I like it without the sugar.  

This tea has such great raspberry notes.  Raspberry leaves are good for digestion too.  This tea has such great raspberry flavor too it.  I hope you like it as much as I do!
