Starbucks Chai

Visiting my sister in WA, I drank lots more "store tea" then I have in my entire life.  I would have to say that the chai at starbucks is just okay.  It's good, but it doesn't stand out after having four or five different kinds in five or six days.

Republic of Tea Vanilla Almond

I liked this tea.  It was sweet and nutty.  I am a fan.  I made this one a few times while visiting my sister in WA

From their website:
Sweeten The Mind Tea - The smoothness of Madagascar vanilla beans takes over the first sip of this tea, sweetening the cup. Nutty almond follows, which sends it soaring to the realm of dessert. Try a strong brew with steamed milk for a tea latte.

Caffeine:

Black Tea has less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee.

Steeping Instructions
Steeping black tea is easy. Simply heat fresh, filtered water to a rolling boil. Then pour water over tea and steep for 3-5 minutes if using a tea bag or full-leaf.

Ingredients

Fine black tea, natural vanilla and almond flavors, vanilla beans and almond bits
CONTAINS ALMONDS

The great thing about staying at my sisters is she is a great cook.  This morning she made a homemade banana oatmeal with pecans.  It was great!

Aloha Lovers Tea

This one might be my least favorite, but then I am not a huge fan of cinnamon.
But, still it was a tea- lots of flavor.

Pho Le's Jasmine Iced Tea

I had a great lunch here on vacation. And the iced jasmine tea was nice and refreshing.  I have never made my jasmine tea iced before.  I liked it.

Townshend's Tea Company- Bubble tea

http://www.townshendstea.com/about.html

I wish I would have had more time to spend here, it looked fun and unique.  I did get my favorite bubble tea.  I had a lavender milk bubble tea that was GREAT!!!!  It hit the spot.

from the website:

Townshend’s Tea Company began as a college project at the University of Oregon in 2002.
The idea was to bring together a casual college campus-style coffeehouse atmosphere with top-grade loose leaf tea.
That idea has grown into five locations where everyone feels welcome to enjoy our extensive selections.
An inviting atmosphere, good music and friendly service make the teahouses gathering places for people of all ages

NE Portland

First to open was Townshend’s Alberta Street Teahouse, in April of 2006. Wood floors below and wood beams overhead, together with colorful furniture, lighting and art give the Alberta Street Teahouse a unique look and feel. Alberta Street is one of those wonderful Portland districts full of shops and restaurants that are almost all individually-owned and operated by Portland locals. It’s a special place to visit that has been highlighted by multiple media sources including The New York Times.
