ABCs of Tea, I published a book! Check it out

I have a new book out!  A book all about tea!

A book all about tea- Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Pu-erh Tea, Green Tea, White Tea, Yellow Tea, and Purple Tea.  And those other drinks people call “tea” (that do not have the Camellia Senesis plant) - Herbal Tea, Tisane Tea, Honeybush, Rooibos Tea, and Mate Tea. Ever wonder what the difference is between tea in China and tea in India?  What is Darjeeling and what is Orange Pekoe? What is the difference between High Tea, Afternoon Tea, Royal Tea, and Cream Tea?  What is the difference between a cup plate and a saucer?  Find out these definitions and many more. All while journaling about your tea along the way.  There are over 140 tea related definitions and 19 tea customs in this book along with fun color photos. Enjoy the ABCs of Tea. This book is meant to be a fun and easy way to learn about tea.

I have been working on this for a few years and it became a reality this year.

If you do get a book, I would love for you to review it on Amazon.  Even if you don't like it, I will take the  feedback and learn from it.

The research of this book has been years and years in the making.  Mission trips to Africa, Malaysia, Spain, France, Thailand, and the Dominican Republic drinking their teas and experiencing their customs. Trips and vacations to Europe and around the US, as well as drinking tea for over 45 years.  I have been enjoying reading books, magazines, watching YouTube videos, making, and sharing tea with others.  The information in this book is known to be true to the best of my ability.

I got my first draft and I was happy that someone on Facebook let me know that I should not have an apostrophe after the C...hahaha.

There was lots of editing that went on behind the scenes.  I also had three people review it for me.  And still I was adding and removing things.  I wanted 100 definitions, I ended up with over 140...and I still keep thinking of words to add.  I knew I just needed to stop and be happy with what I had, and I am very happy with what I have.

Orange Pekoe loved to be around while I was working on my book.  He especially loved when I worked on the computer.  He thought those computer keys were really fun to push...maybe I should blame any typos on him.

I tried to put multiple photos on each page to help explain a definition.

I also put my friends pottery through out the book.  Be on the look out for Rudy Whistle Pottery.  Reach out to her if you are interested in her pieces.

I am BEYOND excited that I will be doing a book signing at Ohio Tea Co. in Canton.  This is one of my favorite tea places, if not my favorite.  The day and time will be coming at a later date.

I hope you enjoy this book.  I tried to make it fun and easy to read.  There are photos to enjoy and a place to journal about your own tea experiences.

20% of all profits from this book will be given to the Christian and Missionary Alliance and the cafe/tea ministries they have around the world.

There is also a hard book edition available as well....

Cha Li, Fresh Tea- Thai Milk Tea, Stow OH

Wednesday Wanderings brough me to the Stow area.  I googled tea in the are and found this fun boba tea place.

They have lots of options...

Nice clean work area and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Look at these incredible desserts!  They look delicious.

This is what I want to try next time...if I spilt it with someone, lol.

I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with Brulee.
When I was in Malaysia I had a bubble tea with creme brulee and they literally bruleed the top with a culinary torch.  That is what I was expecting with this one, but it was even better.   They put that amazing brulee creme in with the Thai milk tea.

This was one of the best tasting bubble teas I have ever had!  The Thai milk tea was spot on and delicious in and of itself, but than to add the creme brulee to it was over the top.

The prices were good.  The staff was friendly and the place was very clean.  I give them 5 tea cups.

Very fun and cute bubble tea shop.

Seoul Korean Garden, Barley Tea

Headed to Cuyahoga Falls for my Wednesday Wanderings.  My friend is a teacher and had the day off for spring break, so we headed out to a place I had been once and loved and she had never been...Korean.

2559 State Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223-1602

The barley tea comes free with the meal.  I have to say I really liked it!!
It has a toasted, nutty flavor.

It reminds me a bit of an oolong tea.  It is herbal- meaning there is no actual tea in this drink.

Barley tea gets 5 teacups for me!  First, it was free. lol, so the price was right. But, the flavor is fun and it went well with our meal.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  I was a fan.

Some of the food options....

This is my second time here and it was just as delicious as I remembered.

They bring you what we in the US would think of as a "salad".  These are free with the entree (it is in the black dish on the table).  And you can get as many refills as you like.  They are super delicious.
Kimchi cabbage, potatoes (My favorite), Kimchi  zucchini,
Kimchi cucumber, Fish cakes, and Kimchi Radish

I ordered more potatoes and cucumber.

I messaged my friend who I went with the first time, what she suggested I get.  She is currently out of the country, but was still able to help me order!!  Technology is fantastic!!!

I ordered the Douk-Mandoogook- which is the rice cake and dumpling soup with sliced rice cakes and beef dumpling sin a beef based soup.  My friend got the Bibimbob.

I also got us green onion pancake to share.

Very responsible price for all we got and I was able to have 2 meals out of it.
I recommend this place if you are looking for something new and fun to try or you like Korean food.  There were several Asian people eating here when we were here, which I always think as a good sign!
