Bubbleberry- Lavender Milk Tea, Medina

I was headed to Vermillion via Medina.  I was looking for some tea and I found this new little tea place.  It is connected with Lemonberry Yogurt.

This place is absolutely ADORABLE!!!!

It is bright and cheerful.  I think it is so fun.

The prices are good and they have a large selection of options.

This place is right off the square (around the corner from Lemonberry).

They also had some macarons.  I bought one and it was tasty too.

This was a fun place.  I give it 5 tea cups!!  The prices are good.  The store was clean.  The staff was very friendly.  And best of all the tea was really good.  I recommend this place for sure.

Atlas Tea Club

You can build your own plan- You tell them what kinds of tea you are looking for (pure teas, blended teas, or a mix of pure and blended).  It is very simple to sign up. And you can cancel anytime.

Each month features 2 unique teas with flavor notes (each bag makes over 15 cups of tea), a postcard, compostable tea bags, and steeping tips.

I signed up for Atlas a while ago and then cancelled, but I recently signed up again.  I wanted to try more "pure teas" because  most of the teas I buy tend to be blended teas.

But, after I started working on my book I realized I was missing so much of the teas unique flavor and notes by not trying teas in their pure form.

I figured getting samples was the way to go.  I don't want to buy an entire tin of a tea I have never tried, but if I could sample the teas and learn about the area at the same time it could be really fun.

This past month I received Thailand and Sri Lanka teas.  I was super excited to get an Orange Pekoe.  For one, my cat's name is Orange Pekoe.  And secondly, I was writing about Orange Pekoe in my book and I wanted to explore it more.

Orange Pekoe is not a flavor, but refers to a teas grading.  Orange Pekoe is a generally the top two leaves on the stem and is the highest grade.  Orange Pekoe is named after a Dutch royal family- the family of Orange in the 1600's.

And also to get a silver tip was fun, I was writing about them as well.  Silver tips are the unopened buds on the tea bush.  I always thought that silver tips were only on white tea, but I learned that black tea, oolong tea, and green tea can have silver tip tea.  This makes total sense since it is the buds or tip of the tea stem.  But, I think the term silver tip was throwing me off.  It is so fun to learn all these facts!!  These silver tip teas are light in flavor.

I recommend you try Atlas Tea Club.  They sometimes run some great deals.  I signed up again with the special that I got $10 off, so it was only $4 for the subscription.  It will then go back to $14 a month.  I decided to keep the subscription because I enjoy the tea and learning the fun facts along the way.
