Here is my home town of Orrville, Ohio. I love this little town of around 8,300 people. We are known for being the home of Smuckers, Smith Dairy, Schantz Organ, and the hometown of Bobby Knight.
We have a down town that is trying to get itself moving again. There has been a lot of renovations happening in our little town. In fact the last few months we had a new pharmacy open and this week a cupcake shop opened.
I have not had many jobs in my life but four have them have been on right on Main Street/57! That is just a little free trivia for you. Where you ask??? Well, I worked as a nanny for the Smucker Family, then I worked at Audrey's Attic (great store!!), then I worked at the Orrville Savings Bank (now PNC), and for the last 10 years I have been at Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company. I love this town!
Enough of that, I wanted to focus on the Main Street Pharmacy since they carry a great selection of tea there!!!

Meet Steve Seifried, local pharmacist, and owner of Main Street Pharmacy. Steve like myself is from Orrville. Steve and I went to school in Orrville together. Steve's grandfather Frank and father Paul had the pharmacy on Orrville's town square from 1970-2010. Steve plans on bringing back the hometown feel and great customer service to his store. Steve told me he can get the tea in 1 pound quantities too- just ask. Again, there is that customer service in action!!!!
The store has a great feel. It's homey and charming. Everything is clean and bright. Me, I am naturally drawn to the tea section!!!
Steve has a great selection of Traditional Medicinals Tea. I have tried some of this tea in the past, if you remember in my past blogs. I am a fan of the Peppermint Tea especially. I am looking forward to trying some of these other teas. I think my first choice is going to be the Chamomile Lavender.

These teas are great homeopathic alternatives to pills and medication. The website gives this ringing endorsement, " Our teas are herbal supplements specifically created with your health and wellness in mind. Because of that, we strive to use pharmacopoeial quality herbs—the only quality our herbalists can rely on—blended using the millennia-old knowledge contained within the world’s great herbal traditions. And, in order to ensure you a consistent experience, cup after cup, we practice intensely rigorous quality control. Learn a little more about what makes us different."
I recommend you come in and try some of these teas!!!! And check out the rest of the store while you are in there.
For nearly forty years, we’ve been passionate about connecting people with plants.
And we're equally as passionate about passing along the centuries-old wisdom of how to use them. So even though our look has changed, our aspirations remain the same: help you discover the power of plants. We differentiate ourselves by our investment in the quality systems, research, testing and pharmacopoeial quality herbs. We were and are pioneers in the wellness tea categories and will continue to lead the way.
We don’t just make formulas because they sound good. Every tea and herbal product that we make must have sufficient evidence of safety, quality and efficacy in support of our claim statements and formulation rationale.
Over thousands of years, humans have accumulated a vast body of knowledge and tradition around the use of plants for health, vitality and well-being. This knowledge, at first passed down orally from generation to generation, eventually became systematized and codified into the world’s great herbal traditions.
These traditions contain the collective accumulated wisdom of how to use plants: the right parts of the right plants for the right purpose. It is from these sources of wisdom that we have learned how to create the herbal blends we offer to you. Our herbalists adhere to the principles of herb selection and herb combining as practiced in these great systems—creating rational, time-tested blends that you can rely on.
We honor and preserve this knowledge of the herbalists before us, so that it may be retained for the herbalists and plant people who will come after us, and so that we all may benefit from its wisdom.
