Cardamom & Curry, Kali's Offering

I discovered this tea in 2019 and I love it!!!  I feel that I am drinking the most healthy tea out there!!  Maybe because it some of the highest priced tea I have ever bought.  But, when I talked to the man I bought it from (At the Wooster Home and Garden Show) he really sold me on the authenticness of their tea.  The health benefits and wonderful effects of drinking their tea.

...2019 Wooster Garden Show

I am already a believer in the goodness of tea, but to hear him talk about their ingredients I could not help but buy there tea.

Hibiscus Flowers – Cardamom – Cloves – Ginger – Lemongrass – Mint – Rose Hips

With the cardamom and cloves it has a chai like taste to it, yet with the lemongrass and hibiscus it has a lightness to it.  Then I get the mint notes, I just love it!  The strongest note might be the clove, so it reminds me of fall.  But of course I drink it year round.

Day 31 Featuring Tealightful Tea- Cupid's Super Fruit Gogi Green

Another day fever free, so on day 31 I am good to work!

Today I am featuring Tealightful tea.

I used to sell Tealightful Tea.  I thought that there tea was wonderful, but I never could get people to have parties.  And I get that, I don't like hosting parties either.

In 2013  I got a call from the owner/creator Charlene Phillips.  We had a nice chat.  She and I have a lot in common, she used to be in the insurance business like me.  She loves tea and started this business in her home in 2000.  Tealightful® has been featured in USA Today, Parents and Rochester Healthy Living magazine.

It appears now that you can order on line and you don't have to buy by having a party.  I love that.

I don't want to say too many wonderful things about this particular tea, since it is no longer available.  But, it is really good.  Their teas are all really good.

So, if you are looking for a new tea company to try, check these guys out.

Green tea with gogi berries, lemon grass, pomegranate and natural flavors.
Green tea with gogi berries, lemon grass, pomegranate seeds & natural flavoring.

Here is something I have made before.  If you want to try something new and different with your tea, try to make it a sparkling tea.

2 1/2 heaping Tablespoons of Tealightful® Cupid's Super Fruit Gogi Green Tea
4 cups steaming water
4-5 cups ice
2 cups club soda
1/2 cup blueberries...
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1/2 cup raspberries
1 heat resistant gallon pitcher
Pour tea into paper tea filter or iced tea brewing basket. Place filter into heat resistant gallon pitcher. Pour 4 cups steaming water over tea. Steep 4-5 minutes. If using a paper filter, dunk and then remove. Quickly add 5 cups of ice to the steeped tea. Add fruit, club soda and stir.

My notes when I made it was, it needed more tea to it.  It's okay to play with your tea.  Try new things.  Let me know if you discover something great!!

Kettle was on today.  As it is everyday while I work from home.

Today my cousin and her two daughters stopped by for bubble tea and to give me May Day flowers!  Love that!!

Another cousin stopped by and got a to go kit of bubble tea for her daughter.  Her daughter is a nurse, so I put a special package together for her.

The lovely Caskey ladies stopped by...I miss seeing them.  They all got some mango bubble tea.

Hey folks we made it through week 6!  Blessings to you all!!!

The day gets better- my friend just delivered these goodies!! I love fresh salsa!!!
Even better her 5 year old sent me the Toy Story candy!!  How adorable is he!???

Global Tastes Cinnamon Fusion Chai

I love a good chai.  And Global Tastes has some great chai teas.  I was introduced to Global Tastes when I did product testing.  I tested their set of chai teas.  I am finding them delightful.

I admit, I was not sure about a cinnamon chai.  I am not always a fan of cinnamon- to me a little goes a long long way.  But, I made this one and I was pleasantly surprised.

This one reminded me of a warm cookie.  I think has the perfect amount of cinnamon.  You get just a hint of the cinnamon as an after taste.  It is rich and smooth.  I am a fan!!

I frothed this with almond milk and some vanilla syrup.

Earl was super excited because he knew Deb was coming over.  He was waiting anxiously at the door.

Day 30 featuring Numi blooming tea

Day 30 fever free, so I am free to work from home.

But first....our featured tea!!

Numi blooming tea.

I went to a scratch and dent store and I found this Numi tea set.  I think it was $12.00 or $13.00, it came with blooming tea, a glass teapot and the bamboo box.

I see the same set on the Numi website for $39.00

And on Amaxon it is $28.00

I got a great deal!!!

Steeping Instructions: Put one Flowering Tea blossom in glass teapot. Pour boiling water over tea and steep until leaves have fully opened (3-4 min). Swirl tea to even flavor before serving. Each Flowering Tea can be re-steeped 2-3 times, just refrigerate if saving.

Tea Blossom Flavors

  • Dragon Lily: White tea bursts open to orange lily petals and osmanthus for a velvety apricot flavor.
  • Shooting Star: Green tea and pink amaranth blossom into a buttery fragrance with fruity notes.
  • Lavender Dream: White tea with crisp aromatic lavender flowers compliments a tangy hibiscus flower.
  • Jasmine Lovers: White tea leaves and a string of jasmine blossoms release a sweet fragrance and honey nectar taste.
  • Sunset Oolong: Oolong tea leaves and lily flower bloom for a nutty richness highlighted by notes of peach.
  • Golden Jasmine: Golden-tipped black tea scented with delicate jasmine imparts hints of chocolate.
It is super easy to make blooming tea.  I would say that you really won't see the bloom until the 2nd or 3rd pot of tea.

These flowers are so delicate, they are all hand sown together.  I shared in my video that I am not a huge fan of the flavors, I like more flavor in my tea.  To me I was not getting many notes, it was just tea.  But, it still was not bad.  I drank 3 cups of it- it obviously is not bad if I drink 3 cups, lol!!

But for me, it is definitely the novelty of the tea more than anything else.  I like to do it when people are over and not just waste it on myself.  But, today was for the Facebook community as the featured tea.

I think I had the Sunset Oolong.  That is the other draw back, you don't know what you are getting.  It is part of the surprise :)  The bags are not labeled.

The local claim to fame with Numi tea, is that Smuckers makes these liquid Numi drinks!!!

The tea is not made in Orrville, but it is made by Smuckers and their head quarters are in Orrville.

Today is National Bubble Tea Day!!!
I let people know that the Kettle was on and I was making bubble tea.  I had some people take me up on it!!

My mom was first, she came over for some Mango bubble tea and loved it.
She helped my dad bring over my birthday present!!!  I love it!!  I have a porch chair.  I never used the porch swing and a couple months ago in the big wind storm one of the chains pulled of the ceiling.
Now I can sit outside and not worry about falling to the ground.  I love my chair!!!

Sarah stopped by for some Taro Bubble Tea.

Janis stopped by for some Mango Bubble Tea.

Michelle and her son, Caleb, stopped my for some Mango Bubble Tea.  And in return- I got Chick fila!  how fun is that.  Michelle is the one who also made me the beautiful tea coasters that matched my tea cups.  So fun!!!

This was what everyone ordered today.  Mango Bubble Tea and mango bursting bubbles.  I got them on Amazon.

Nefeeko Collapsible Water Bottle, 26 ounces

Okay, here is yet another product test product.

I love product testing.  I love testing products that I would really use and enjoy.  This is one of those items.  I think I will enjoy it when I go bike riding.

I have never seen a collapsible water bottle before. I am intrigued by it and I can not help but opening it all the way up and then closing it down...over and over.

It has a nice hook, that I can put on my back pack when I ride.  Also a nice secure lid that is attached, so I should not loose the cap.

The super cool thing is the bottom unscrews and I could put medication in the bottom!!

Or even a single key!  It does work, I tried and it closes just fine.
