Ladies Tea in Rittman

I was asked to do a tea for a church ladies group near by.  I was super excited to be asked by my friend Andrea.  She was a youth in a church that I helped with years ago.  These are pics of us about 25 years ago!  How the time flies.

We met at the Server.  A local cafe in Rittman.

51 N Main St, Rittman, OH 44270

Casual cafe serving home-cooked breakfast, brunch, and lunch, plus coffee.

My friend Andrea did a beautiful job decorating the tables.

Each table had real tea cups and saucers, cute plates, as well as a plate in the middle with scones for them to nibble on while we waited to get started.

We had an area off to the side for dress up too. (I can bring that to any tea party at no extra cost)

Instead of regular name tags, we had to wear our tea party names....I was Fragrant Daintysipper, hahaha.

The Server cafe is a cute little cafe.  Very clean and tidy with a restroom in back.

I prepared 5 teas for this party.  Four hot teas and one iced.

Andrea had flowers at each spot to take home for the ladies too.

The food was so fun!!  Some people brought treats to share and Andrea had a lot of it already prepared too.

I had the tea set out, but in the end we figured it was easier to go around and serve the ladies.

The ladies had so much fun...and I loved interacting with them. We shared a lot of tea together on this day!  I learned one lady had lived in Morocco and she told me about tea there.

I loved hearing who loved what tea.  Some loved the buttery milk oolong, others choose the iced tea, and some discovered that green tea can be really good when made correctly.

Never boil your water with green tea- it bruises the leaves.  Don't over steep a green tea.
These are just a few of the tips I shared at the tea.

Some the ladies rated the tea they drank.  It always fascinates me how different all our taste pallets are from each others.  Some love straight black teas, some love only floral, and still others think a sweet tea is the only way to go.

These gals had fun dressing up.

Here is the entire group of lovely ladies.

Time for the dishes...

1 Peter 4:10-11, ESV

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Casa Milky Flavor Tea, Hokkaidou Sapporo

Another great find from the Asian grocery store in Cleveland, Park to Shop.

They have lots of flavors, Matcha Milky, Brown Sugar, Milky, Original Milk, and Honey Milk tea.

Park to Shop in Cleveland is so much fun!!!  They have so many unique and interesting items here.

You can also find this tea on Amazon and in Walmart.

It is easy and fast to make this tea.  Open the packet and add hot water.  Doesn't get much easier than that.

The flavor for being instant is nice.  The price is right, less than .50 a packet. When I don't have time to make the real milk tea, this will do.  My draw back is the sugar.  When you make it yourself you can cut out or at least lower the sugar.

It was good, but I still prefer Hong Kong Milk Tea made the old fashioned way.  Pulling the black tea back and forth and then adding the milk is a fun and delicious way to make Hong Kong Milk tea.
