Michael's Tea, Orrville OH

In my town there is the bakery, Michaels Bakery, it has been around for what seems like forever (40 years).  Before Michaels it was Daylight Donuts.  

When it was Daylight Donuts I remember my pastor marrying a couple one morning there!  My pastor used to go there most mornings before the church.  He met a couple there and they asked him to marry them.  How cute is that?

Michaels just recently changed hands.  After 38 years it is now owned by some local OHS grads...which I love.  Same great donuts, but some new additions to the menu.

I am super excited that Michael's isn't just delicious donuts, but they have great drinks.

I was good and I did not do the free donut with a purchase of drink, lol!  But, this is a great incentive for others to try the drinks!!

I tried a hot chai and a blue matcha latte.  Both were really good and I would recommend either one. 

The chai was more on the sweeter side than the spicy side, but still very nice flavor.

The blue matcha was good too.  I love matcha's as lattes- it helps mute the grassy notes.  And yet I still feel like I am getting the healthiness of the matcha.    For those who don't know what matcha is- it is the entire tea leaf ground up.  Being the entire leaf you are now getting all the benefits of the tea! 

Matcha is good for you heart health, high in antioxidants, contains fiber, promotes digestion and so much more. 

These drinks both get 5 teacups!  The flavors were great, the prices are great, the staff was super friendly.  I was very pleasantly surprised.  And I am so happy that we have another place in town to get great teas!!!

Tamr Arabic Tea

Wednesday Wanderings took my friend and I to Cuyahoga Falls Ohio for Mediterranean food.

Tamr is great little restaurant on the edge of Stow and Cuyahoga Falls.

When we first got there, there were not many people, but by the time we left most of the tables were full.  The place is really nice and clean.  The waiter was sooo friendly and helpful!

We each got a pot of tea.  The tea came in these adorable teapots.  I asked about buying one off of them, lol.

The tea was delicious!  I had to watch myself or I would drink the entire pot before the food came.  The teapot held about 5 cups of tea.

The food was great too!  I got a mix of a couple of items to try.  It was all really great.  I would highly recommend this place!!

I got the Foul with Tahini and side of Fattoush.

This Arabic teapot with the beak is so much fun.  I searched online for a pot just like it....

This mint tea was so great!  I asked the waiter about where to find the tea.  He took out his phone and showed me the tea that the restaurant used and then he also showed me his favorite tea.  I went out and bought that tea that afternoon!

I recommend this restaurant and this tea!!  Both were really great!  The tea was a black tea with lots of sugar and a spring of mint.

I bought some matcha protein powder when I was at my chiropractor the other day.

Matcha is the second ingredient and is very tasty!

These shakes are super easy to make and really delicious.  They are filling and healthy too.

I tried frothing the shake the first time. It went okay, but after that I put the protein in a shaker bottle and shook it, it turned out great and was a lot easier.  Just add a scoop of protein and water and shake.

Matcha is super healthy and so good for you.  It is full of antioxidants, it protects the liver, helps brain function, it may help prevent cancer, it may promote heart health, it helps weight loss, and you are getting all the benefits of the tea leaf- since matcha is ground tea leaves.

I also bought and tried the chai, but I did not care for that one and I gave it to a friend.  But I highly recommend the Matcha Protein!
