Ball Ball Waffle. Hong Kong Milk Tea

Another Wednesday Wanderings!  My friend, Heidi, and I headed to Cleveland.  After lunch we headed to Asia Town.  My mom's birthday was coming up and I wanted to get her some Chrysanthemum tea.  Online it was around $12- but in the Asia Plaza it was around $4.

We first went to the wrong place.

We realized we wanted to be down the street a block or two.  To the Asia Plaza.

The Asia Plaza has a some great shops!  There is a grocery store, a pharmacy, the dim sum restaurant, a couple of fun stores, and then Ball Ball Waffle shop.

We visited the Ball Ball Waffle place a year or so ago, so I was excited to go back.

I got matcha waffles...It was fun to watch the process of him making the waffle.

I also got the Hong Kong Milk Tea.  I am BIG fan of milk tea.

I give them 5 teacups.  Price is decent, staff is super friendly, and the flavor is authentic and delicious.  I say authentic because I have had milk tea in Hong Kong...it was only the airport- but it still counts to me, lol.

Here are some other shops at the plaza.

They have LOTS of fun tea here.

Below is the instant Chrysanthemum tea that my mom and I enjoy.

Below is another store in the plaza.

Cleveland is a fun town.  I like it!  I prefer it to Columbus.   Take the time to explore the place around you- you never know what you will discover!

Hartstone pottery and an Arnold Palmer at Smokin Chippers in Berlin

I was in Holmes County on Saturday and saw these dishes and didn't buy them.   I wish I had, so I went back on Wednesday and purchased them.
I love them!

Snack Sets used to be a big thing.  I remember when I was little in the late 70's early 80's- when you went to a bridal shower or baby shower- you were ate off snack trays.  You put punch in your cup and usually had nuts, mints, and maybe some veggies on your tray.

Berlin, Ohio has this great antique mall.  They have two floors of goodies. I have found lots of fun items here- they are also attached to a restaurant if you are hungry.

This Wednesday, when I went back, I purchased the five mugs and four trays for $9.00.  What a great deal.  The other great thing is that my friend in Cincinnati has these dishes.  So, when I use these dishes I think of her!!  I love this heart flower design.  It is sweet and simple.

This pottery is from Zanesville, OH.  Made by Hartstone Pottery.  My sister, Jill, and I have visited this pottery years ago.

"Provincial Posy"

I purchased these snack sets and posted about them...then a friend said she had a heart bowl that matched that she'd give me.  How fun is that???

So, now I have this heart bowl.  I think I will put fruit or other snacks in it when I use my snack trays.

After I stopped in Berlin to get my snack trays I stopped in to see my friend, Nikole.  She works near Mt Hope.

It was a fun Wednesday Wandering Day.  I was hoping to get a chai somewhere, but instead I saw this food truck and got an Arnold Palmer from them.

Arnold Palmer- Iced tea and strawberry lemonade.

The tea was sweeter then I like, but the flavor was great. The price was good and the gal working behind the counter was super friendly.  I give them 4 teacups.

Otts - Spiced Chai Latte

Enjoying a wonderful day in July at the local farmers market in Apple Creek, Ohio.

I have discovered this local business that I am now a big fan of- Ott's Coffee.  I am a fan of their tea, lol.  This husband and wife team made their dream 2013 a reality.  And I love that!!

They had quite the line today.  I love seeing a local small business have a following and a crowd.  I hope I can see this dream come true for myself some day.  It is okay to dream and plan!  Follow your dreams!

I got the spiced chai latte.  I thought it was very good and had a nice spice to it.  On a hot day the iced spiced was a delight.  I give it 4 tea cups for sure!

Hope you can come and shop and support local vendors the next time they have farmers market.  You never know what you will find that may catch your eye.  Or just get out and walk around.  It is a free event.

I purchased some jewelry from this talented artist!  She does beautiful work.

(SIDE NOTE**  I love my bracelets and have not taken them off yet....2 months later.  I shower and sleep in them too.)   I also like that they match the watch band that I made.

Great day and a space for a farmers market.  Look for the next one September 24, 2022.

Ginger House, Arnie Palmer, Berlin OH - along with other fun shops

While with some friends in Berlin, we stopped at the Ginger House for some tea.  I can not believe I have never had  or even heard of an Annie Palmer drink!!

An Arnold Palmer is 1/2 Ice Black Tea and  1/2 Lemonade

An Annie Palmer was 1/2 Iced GREEEN Tea and 1/2 Lemonade- I got peach.

I thought the service was great, the price is great, and the Annie Palmer was fun and delicious!

The Ginger House is one of the few cafe's that has a lot of tea options.  I love it!!!  Having 7-8 options is a lot for a coffee place.  I really appreciate it!

While in Berlin I stopped in to Heini's cheese.  I love their cheese, but wish they were giving out samples. Pre-Covid you could try any of their cheeses.  It was so fun, they have over 30 kinds of cheese and fudge!

I also like the Berlin Village Antique Mall.

I was able to find some fun tea pots.  The big grey tea pot is going to go outside the door of my tea shop.  It will be a kind of sign post.  I will have the name of my cafe painted on the side. Cuppa and Kettle Cafe.

This is the inspiration kettle look!

I have not lettered the kettle yet, I just played around with what it would look like.

For now, I have a bird feeder hook holder up the kettle.

We walked around town and had fun browsing and looking at the shops.

We then went to the Amish Door for dinner.

All in all it was a fun day in Holmes County.  Even though I live close I don't get down to this area too often.  I sure avoid it during the fall when all the tourist and buses are around.  It gets crazy down there.
