NOVUS- Citrus Chamomile

At Beulah Beach I was introduced to a new tea.  I love this Citrus Chamomile tea!  The citrus was mild and the Chamomile was the start of the tea.   I love that Novus uses the nylon bags.  It is like making a bag tea into a loose leaf tea.  You get the perfect amount in a contained bag.  I also left the bag in the cup while I drank it and the tea did not get bitter.  It is caffeine free, and I was able to get two cups out of the one bag. 
In reading the website, this tea is a Bigelow product and appears to be only a food service tea.  It does not appear that you can buy it on line.  Maybe next time you are in a restaurant or hotel, or staying at Beulah Beach Camp you will have to see if they carry this product...and then grab a few extra!

It has a very pretty light yellow color.  It is a very mild, calming tea.

I found Novus for sale on the Bigelow website!!!  I am a happy camper!!  12 sachets for $6.95, I saw at least 13 flavors on the website!  I see that they have a gift sampler for $19.95 as well. Persian Pomegrante Herbal, and Wild Encouter Herb are next on my list to try!!!

My friend told me about Argo tea.  I tried their sample pack for $9.95.  It was a great way to try several teas.  Today I thought I would tell you about Carolina Honey.  It was good, but when I added milk to the tea I thought it became great!  I use a 2% milk at home, so that is what I put in the tea.  I thought it really elevated the tea.

NEW MUGS!!!!!

I went to the Beulah Beach benefit auction.  I was able to get a few fun "tea" related items.

I got a Reed & Barton Vintage Silver Tea Pot, a basket with some Tea mix, scone mix and a travel mug, and then lastly my favorite were there owl mugs!!!  It was a fun, "heated" silent auction bidding war with a great lady name Sandy from the Cleveland area.

This morning before the auction began I was able to have a cup of tea and walk the beach.  Lake Erie was a little rough this morning, but still relaxing and peaceful.  I love walking the beach, drinking my tea and spending some time with God.

 

When I try this tea and scone mix I will let you know what I think!!!!

REPUBLIC OF TEA- Acai Superfruit

The tin is 3.5 oz- which makes between 50-60 cups the price on line is $10.50...the is roughly .20 a cup!  I really enjoy this tea.  It has a strong rich favor.  I love elderberries, my mom makes me an elderberry pie almost every year for my birthday.  And I love elderberries in my tea!!

Steeping Instructions

I am at my favorite place on Earth!!!  Beulah Beach in Vermillion, Ohio.  I have been coming to this Christian Camp and Retreat Center since I was probably 5.  When I was 8 I went forwarded at Bible & Missionary Conference to dedicate my life to serving God...in whatever way that would be.  Then from the age of 8-17 I was a camper at the camp, then from 18-

 approximately 37 I was a camp counselor.  I even lived at the camp for a year and was the guest service coordinator.  Today I up for about 20 hours for the 5th Annual Auction to raise money for the camp.  As I sit over looking Lake Erie I reflect on how AWESOME our God is.  I am enjoying a cup of tea, listening to the waves crash against the rock, and feeling totally blessed!!!

 

I hope that this weekend you can take time to sit, relax with some tea, and  reflect on how good God is!  If you don't know God, I would be happy to tell you about Him.  He is life changing!!!!

TEALIGHTFUL TREASURES

I have found a home tea tasting company.  Tonight I got a call from the owner/creator Charlene Phillips.  We had a nice chat.  She and I have a lot in common, she used to be in the insurance business like me.  She loves tea and started this business in her home in 2000.  Tealightful® has been featured in USA Today, Parents and Rochester Healthy Living magazine.

With this company you have tea tastings in peoples home and they can also taste scones, dessert mixes, and savory mixes (which the company sells).  I love that she makes the tea blends in her home.  The tea blends are unique to this company in most cases.  This lady is living my dream job!!!!

Listen to some of these flavors... Big Apple Green, Carrot Cake Rooibos, Cherry Almond Vanilla Black Tea, Mango Tangerine Punch, Oolong Orange Blossom, Warming Walnut Green, and soooo many more!!!

 I am very excited about the thought of doing this.  I believe that she said that there are only 3 consultants in Ohio, so the area is not saturated with consultants.

Look at the fruit!  I again store my Teavana tea in their tins.  The loose leaf tea stays fresh for up to a year.

Look again at the real fruit in this tea!  The taste is so amazingly fresh.  It is good cold too. So, if the cup sitting on my desk gets cold it does not bother me.  This is good hot or cold.  With this tea I can usually get 3 cups of tea out of one serving.  Steep this mate tea for 5-6 minutes.

Look at the color.  Man, there is nothing about this tea that I don't like!

OREGON CHAI strikes again!!!

another co-worker has fallen hard for OREGON CHAI TEA LATTES!!!  She even bought some concentrate for herself and has it in the refrigerator here at work!  I made us a cup....ohhh it was so delicious! To me I don't need cake, cookies, or ice cream.  A heavenly treat is a warm cup of Oregon Chai

 I heated up the cups of chai tea....I did them for about 112 seconds

 

 

With this chai I heated the milk in the microwave.  I heated it for about 35 seconds and then I frothed it.

I texted Melanie that I made her Chai tea and she said that she almost got a speeding ticket coming to work to get it.  We love our Oregon Chai!!!

TEA FORTE Winter Chai

I poured the cup half full of water and steeped the tea, then I frothed my milk and added it to the rest of the cup.  Since I can't get 2 cups of tea out of the chai bag (I like it stronger), so I left the mesh bag in the entire time I drank the chai.

 

The cup of tea was very yummy!
