Birthday Tea bomb

My office celebrated me for my 50th birthday.  So many co-workers got me amazing and thoughtful gifts.  One co-worker and her daughter made me tea bombs.

I have made these before and SO, SO, SO, appreciate their thoughtfulness- these bombs are NOT easy to make.  When you are working with hot, thin, messy sugar it can be a nightmare to get these balls to work out, but they did a fantastic job with them.

They made half a ball and then put a tea bag inside and then sealed the ball up.

The ball is made of isomelt- so it does add a lot of sugar to your tea.  But, if you don't mind the extra sugar, then you will really love it.

We had fun playing with them at work.

I even did a video for social media.

I loved this fun thoughtful gift.  I am not sure there would be many people I would make a tea bomb for.  I have watched videos on it and they make it look so easy!!  I tried and tried and it was just one big sugar mess.

Pho Saigon Milk Tea and Boba Bubble Tea- Butterfly Pea Tea with lavender and Mango popping bubbles

If you have followed my blog at all, you would know I love to eat...and anything ethnic is my favorite.  My friends and I went for Pho, Vietnamese.  It was amazing!!! I love the flavors.  I ordered the seafood Pho and the Saigon Style Milk Tea.

The flavors of the milk tea was great.  The only reason it did not get five tea cups was the price.  It was $2.75 for one kinda small cup.  The iced Saigon Milk Tea is even more.

My friends and had a great time.  The food was delicious.

We then headed a little further down the street to the Boba Tea shop.  I had gotten a gift card for a birthday gift, so we decided to go spend it.  My friends had never been there, so it was fun to take them there for their first time.

I ordered the Butterfly Pea Tea with lavender and Mango popping bubbles.

I prefer the popping bubbles over the tapioca balls or jellies.

The tea is very good and they have a huge variety of teas to pick from.  I love the concept and the experience, but I do think it is a bit pricey.  I am glad that Wooster has a fun place like this.

I give this tea four tea cups, the only reason it is not five is the price.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  The tea is good and the options are almost endless.
