Masala Chai Latte, Ohio Tea Company

During the holidays I worked on making the perfect holiday drink.  I love eggnog to lattes for a festive addition to a drink.  I am a huge Masala Chai fan, and Ohio Tea has a great Masala Chai.

This is a great chai by itself, but during the holidays it is fun to kick up the flavors and add Eggnog.  Normally when I drink chai I use an almond milk, coconut milk or oat milk- trying to be healthier.

I took the eggnog and frothed it while the tea was steeping.

This is a black tea, so I heated the water to over 200 degrees.  I then steeped the chai for 4 minutes.

I like this king of steeper.  You add your loose leaf tea and then the water and steep.  Once steeped you set the steeper on the cup and it drains the tea into the cup. There is a pressure lever on the bottom, so the tea will not drain until it sits on the cup. The loose leaf tea does not get into the cup.  The steepers are also really easy to clean out.

I poured in the tea and then added the frothed eggnog.

I added a candy cane for a bit of a twist.

I love this tea combination!  I love this chai, it has a great spice kick to it.  The eggnog steps up the flavors notes.  This is great holiday drink.

This drink is a special treat for me.  I have lost a lot of weight and I have done it by eating well.  I don't drink a lot of milk or eggnog, but for a special treat I do like this latte, it is fabulous!

Ohio Tea Company Warrior Tea

I always say, not ever tea is for everyone...but, I sure love trying them all.

For me, this tea was not a hit, but my co-worker loves it.

Not everyone has the same taste buds and that is okay.  Keep trying tea and until you find what you like.  I am not a fan of rooibos tea or stevia, but I love all the healthy ingredients that are in this tea.

Even though has green tea in it, they are saying that the temperature should be 212 degrees.  They also recommend that you steep for 5-7 minutes.

Ingredients:

Green Tea Leaf, Blueberries, Chickweed, Cranberries, Goji (Lycii) Berries, Lemon Peel Granules, Mangostein, Noni Fruit, Rooibos Leaf, Bilberry Fruit, Cherries, Fo-Ti Root, Ginkgo Leaf, Orange Peel Granules, Pau d’Arco Bark, Pineapple, Tomato Flakes, Grape Seed Extract, Lime Juice Powder, Stevia Leaf, Uva Usi Leaf, Wheat Grass.

My coworker is a huge fan of this tea, but it is just not for me. There are all kinds of great ingredients in this tea, but stevia and rooibos were too strong for me.  Although I did like the citrus notes that came through.
