Journey in Time tea cups

I love a good deal!!  And this antique store less than 5 miles from my house is AMAZING!!!!  The other Saturday they posted these pics of tea cups and in less than 30 minutes I was at their doorstep!

Most of the cups are in the $5-$7 range.

This place is huge and has tons of great finds!!

I was good and bought only one cup/saucer.  This one was $5.  I love it!!!  And I love violets. I just want to drink tea all day from it and watch the flowers in my garden sway in the breeze.

I also bought this set of tea cups and saucers that are melamine.

These will be great if kids come over for tea!! I do not have to worry about them breaking... and they get the feel of drinking for tea cups too.

I then got this tea pot for $12.  It reminds me of a tea pot my grandma had!  It wasn't this shape, but it was this color.  It hold a lot of water and is so fun.

The tea pot goes great with these tea cups and the tea tray my dad and I co-made.

Wild Ginger, Jasmine Tea

I  had a $25 gift card and a $5 off coupon, so I decided to head over to Wild Ginger in Wooster  for half price sushi. I knew I could get the most bang for my buck!!

I ordered Jasmine Tea, it's a bit pricey- $4.00, but it was good.  I have two recommendations for you though.  Steep for 3 minutes and then take out the tea, otherwise it over steeps.  Next after a cup or two blow out the candle, other wise the water gets too hot.  You don't want your green tea water too hot.

The sushi at Wild Ginger is so yummy!!!  And half price sushi is even better, lol.  And a gift card makes it the best ever!!

Saving money is always fun!!!

I was excited to get some tea from Malaysia. I loved my two weeks in Malaysia- the people, the food, the scenery, the tea! Hibiscus is one of my favorites for tea.  I love this tea with its hints of strawberry, apple, and blackberry.  I try to sip it slowly to pick up these flavors...I am still working on getting the undertones and additions of flavors.

Enjoying Malaysian Tea in my Malaysian Cup.

I am enjoying my hibiscus tea in my Starbucks Penang tumbler.  Using this cup is another tie back to Penang.

Some of beauty of Penang.....

Milk Frothing- Viv Real

I love making Chai Lattes, but it is hard to get the milk the right temp...and it is annoying to have to use the microwave.  I did some research and for the price and what it did I felt this was the best one.  And for under $40 it seemed like a great deal.  And it was!!  I am loving it.

This frother does 3 things....heats milk and froths, heats milk only, and keeps milk cold and froths.

I first did soy and almond milk and it heated, but did not froth real well.  The froth is more bubbly then thick and creamy and frothy.  When I switched over to milk it got frothy and thick.

Here is with Soy Milk and Almond Milk.

Here is with milk.  As much as I would rather use soy or almond I like the creaminess of the milk.

VivReal says that if you give a review on Amazon they would send free 2 large mugs and some Matcha Green Tea Powder.
I was glad to put a review on Amazon and everything is true.  It is a great product.  I look forward to trying to make designs with the foam.

Teavana Cha Yen Thai Tea

I love Teavana and I miss them!  I still have some of their tea left.  I hoard it, lol!!

I tried to cold brew it, and I have to say that this not a tea to cold brew.  It is much better hot.
