Day after the storm, July 11, 2013 it was a TWO FISTED TEA DAY at work!!!  For some reason the $1.00 half and half, light ice, Iced Tea calls my name from time to time :)

And after a hard day of work, what is better than a bubble bath, a good book, and a cup of ice tea!

ARGO Carolina Honey Tea

I wanted to try some Argo teas, so I ordered the sampler set for $9.95.  It was a great way to try 3 teas.  I like the Carolina Honey tea.  I liked it even better with milk!  It was a soft light tea, does that make sense?  Anyway, I liked it.

I add 2 tablespoons of loose leaf tea (because I am making 16 oz of tea) and then I add my heated water.  Have you used the tea maker yet?  OH MY!!  I love these tea makers.  I gave one to a friend this week for her to try, and she loved it too.  I have several makers :)  One at work and two at home.  I have two at home so that I can keep the loose leaf in the one maker and then if I decide to make a different cup of tea I don't have to empty the maker.  I have found the best deal for the tea maker is Teavana on the website for on-line products only, you can get one for $9.95! http://www.teavana.com/tea-products/web-only/2  You can also get them through Tealightful- which I just happen to sell :)

So, I steep the black tea for 3 minutes.

Then once the tea is ready I set the tea maker on the mug.  Just be sure if you make a 16oz cup of tea, you mug holds 16oz...or you will have a mess.  Believe me, I know from experience!

As you can see that once the water is added to the loose leaves expand and fill the water with flavor.

This tea was good, I liked the spice flavor, I would have liked more orange. But, still it was a really good tea.  Want to try it??  Let me know I would be happy to let you try it.  The great thing about Tealightful teas is that the average cost for a cup of tea is .22-.25!  You can hardly beat that.

Tea Organization...

I like to be organized!!!  My dad says I don't do anything half way, and I guess it's true when it comes to my love of tea!

So, I organized my tea in my great thirty-one containers! https://www.mythirtyone.com

I now have a bin of BLACK TEA, a bin with YELLOW TEA, OOLONG TEA, MATE TEA & ROOBIOS TEA, a bin of HERBAL TEA, HONEYBUSH TEA, and TISANE TEA, and  a bin of GREEN TEA (with Sencha, Matcha, Kombucha, Genmaicha, and Pu-erh).

I love being organized and having my teas out all the time so that I can see them and drink them.  I think if they were in a cupboard I would not drink as much.

Product # T2071
Earl Grey Estate Iced Tea
Black tea blend with bergamot oil.
Our Iced tea is fresh and natural unlike most powdered and ready to drink teas which contain high fructose corn syrup(bad) and artificial colors and flavors(also bad). Our filters are made of 100% cellulose fibers and do not contain any bleach. Package contains two 1 oz. pouches. Makes 2 gallons.
Price: $9.00

I get 2 gallons out of each pouch, so that is like getting 4 gallons!

I made two kinds of teas from Earl Grey Estate Iced Teas... I did a regular ice tea and then I made one with lavender.  I grow lavender in my herb garden.  I picked 3-4 springs and steeped it in the tea for around 2-3 hours.  I loved the lavender tea!!!  I then added less than 1/4 cup of sugar.

Charlie brought in some of Robins mint tea- very yummy!  As well as some green tea.  It was fun to have some cool tea when it was in the 90's today!  Maybe next time more people will bring tea in too...hahaha.

Tonight Jill, Keith, the boys, and I went to Canton to see the balloon launch.  I took the teas from today and let the boys taste test.    The balloon launch was canceled.  But, the boys did get to try the tea.  I had  the Earl Grey regular, Earl Grey with lavender, Earl Grey with Huckleberry syrup.  The boys tried them and their first choice was the Earl Grey with Huckleberry.  I think that Kyle just liked the little  bottles that they came in!

This is the syrup I like.  You can get a big bottle for $6.95, and a smaller bottle for like $3.95 ( or maybe $2.95 I can't remember as I type this).  Getting the bottles if syrups are nice if you are having a party.  You can serve plain teas, and then add a variety of syrups.

PAROMI. TEA Chamomile Lavender

I WAS SOOO EXCITED TODAY WHEN I CAME TO WORK AND WAS HANDED A LITTLE PLASTIC BAG FROM A CO-WORKER!!!!  Looking inside the bag I could see was a mesh bag of tea!  Yes, his wonderful wife, Robin, had sent some of her special tea for me to try.  I have never heard of this tea brand so I am even MORE excited now to try it!  I love Lavender and Rooibos teas, and I am not always a big fan of chamomile, but I can not wait to brew a cup.  Charlie showed me (below) how they brew their water. It looks like so much fun!

Packaged for Perfection
Our glass jar, a Paromi Tea signature, ensures the tea reaches you as fresh, fragrant, and flavorful as the day it was crafted.
Rooibos, also known as red tea, red bush, or African bush, is a caffeine-free delight. This full-bodied, aromatic red brew has a smooth, sweet taste (due to its low tannin content). Rooibos grows wild in the Cederberg mountain region near Cape Town, South Africa. A significant amount of recent research has discovered the noteworthy healing properties of rooibos. Not surprisingly, the indigenous people of South Africa have long revered its powerful health benefits. Among its numerous benefits, rooibos is rich in antioxidants and minerals, soothes the stomach and aids in digestion, reduces insomnia, and promotes healthy skin.

Ingredients:
organic rooibos, organic chamomile, organic lavender, natural vanilla essence

Organic & Fair Trade Rooibos: Cederberg Mountains around Clanwilliam near Cape Town, South Africa
Chamomile Blossoms: Egypt

Chamomile Lavender combines soft floral notes of French lavender with fragrant Egyptian chamomile in a classic aromatic herbal infusion. The slightly sweet, nutty quality of South African rooibos (pronounced “ROY-bos") is added to create a full-bodied, smooth, caffeine-free blend. A cup of this sparkling reddish-brown brew will magically melt away the stresses of the day.

Brewing Instructions:
Place 1 sachet in 10-12 oz boiling water and steep 5 minutes.
 Breathe in harmony and balance.
For a great second brew, reuse the sachet, steeping longer.

Okay, I am a fan!!!!!  Just the right amount of lavender and chamomile.  I really  love the flavors mixed together!! I had three cups this afternoon.  The flavors really blend so well that I really could not get enough.  It reminded me a bit of a honeybush tea rather than a rooibos.   This is a winner.  THANKS ROBIN!!!!  I might have to try the Coconut Almond one next!  The prices seem good, you get 15 sachets for $10.00, that is a good price.  YUM!!!
