Peets, Peppermint Chai- Washington Regan Airport

I love good photo opportunities. 

I love flying and exploring airports!  There are some really fun and unique stores out there.  I usually try to avoid food, as it is usually overpriced...except for the Portland Airport- all their restaurants have to sell the food at the price they would in their regular restaurants. 

I had a two hour layover so I was in search of some good tea.  I am a fan of Peets.   Although, I have to say the man who waited on me did not seem to want to make a sale, lol.  I was trying to get a fun drink and he was not helpful at all, so another clerk came over and helped me.  She sold and made me a peppermint chai.

I was pleased with this peppermint chai.  The peppermint notes were really good.  The chai was also nice and creamy.  I got the cardamom flavors right away, and that is one of my favorite chai flavors.   Their prices are good, the store was clean and for the most part the staff was super friendly and helpful.

 

Friedrich's Iced Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte, Des Moines Airport

I love visiting these college friends!  We met in 1990 at St Paul Bible College in MN.  These are some of the best people I know.  I just love hanging out with them.

I just saw them last year, but had the free miles and decided to visit again.  And so glad I did.  Being with good friends can be so relaxing, and this trip was just that for me.

The night before I left I took the entire family out to eat.  At my office I won a $100 take your crew out to eat.  So, I took this crew out to eat.  We all ate for $98!!  So fun to be with these friends, I just love them, pranks and all.

To go from Iowa to Canton Ohio I did not have a real direct trip, but that is okay, I love to fly and visit new airports.  I went from Des Moines to Chicago to Washington DC to Canton Ohio.

I tried this little cafe last year, in Concourse C, and was pleased, so I decided to try it again.  This time I went with the Iced Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte.

This was a nice creamy chai.  Although, next time I think I would go hot and not iced, but that is on me. The pumpkin pie flavor was nice, not too sweet, not to over powering.  The barista was super friendly.  The tea prices were decent and the cafe was very clean.

Here I go to yet another state....Illinois
