Hand Made Tea Wallet

How cute are these tea wallets?

One of gals that went on the London Tea trip made one for myself and all the other ladies on the trip.
A very kind and thoughtful gift.

It even came with some teas!!!
Great for putting tea in my purse and not loosing the packets.

Burning Cinnamon Sticks with my Chai Tea

My friend sent me this post, from The Fern.

They were burning cinnamon.  We both wondered why and if it smelled good.

I had the chai, but sadly was out of large cinnamon sticks.  I headed the local grocery and picked up some cinnamon sticks.

Since the post was from Kurdistan, I thought maybe it was the Ceylon Cinnamon, but I could tell from the photo it was the regular cinnamon we have here.

I made some chai tea and then proceeded to burn a cinnamon stick and lay it along side the cup.

I was all prepared for the great cinnamon notes to waft throughout my kitchen and home.
But, nope, it really did not smell good.

It was smokey and there was nothing nice about the aroma.  They say it is good to keep mosquitos and other bugs away, but I would not waste my cinnamon sticks to burn them.

I guess you never know until you try it for yourself.

The chai tea was good and we will leave it at that.
If you try it, let me know what you think.

Snowed in, it's a chai latte kind of day

Expecting lots of snow what more do you need then a giant cup of tea!

I wasn't going anywhere because of all the snow we were getting this weekend.  I decided to make myself a giant cup of peppermint chai with cold foam.

I was making about 5 cups of chai, so I scooped out 5 t of loose leaf chai and steeped in about 2 cups of hot water, over 200 degrees for 5 minutes.

I then added 3 cups of oat milk to the cup with some ice.
Yes, it is freezing and snowing out and I am making an ice chai...don't judge.

I then took whipping cream and frothed it with some peppermint syrup.

I then poured the cold foam on top of the chai mixture.

Lastly I added some crushed candy canes on top.

This is so easy and delicious to make.
Get creative and use different teas for your lattes.
Add different syrups to your cold foams.
Try some hot and some cold.
Create your own favorite drink!
