Maman New York City, Pumpkin Pie Matcha Latte

How adorable is this place?

Stop 2 of 7

I led a bus trip of 56 people to NYC this fall.  This is my second leading of this bus trip.  It is so much fun!

We leave my town in Ohio, at 10pm on a Friday night, drive all night.

Get dropped off in Chinatown around 6:30am.  Everyone gets to do their own thing around New York until around 9pm.

We are picked up at 9pm at Bryant Park, drive all night and get dropped off in my town at 6am Sunday morning.  All this for $185.00

I love the charter bus, red eye trip.  I am leading one this March to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival.  This trip is only $165 per person.

Below is my tea map....I plan on stopping at least 9 tea shops in the 15 hours in NYC ( I did only make it to 7 cafes).

I was headed to Maman for breakfast from Chinatown.  I saw two of the ladies from the bus trip sitting on a park bench.  I asked what they were doing, they said they weren't sure.  I invited them to walk the few blocks to this French cafe. I was excited they were up for the adventure with me.

When we walked in I saw all the incredible pastries.  They looked so amazing.  I thought at first we would have to get our breakfast to go.  But, then one of the ladies noticed the side hallway leading to a back room.
Turns out they have two rooms for guests to sit and eat in.

We were the first to arrive in this room.  I loved it immediately.  I felt like I was in a French cafe straight away.  I was so glad she saw that there was a room to sit in. I would not have wanted to miss eating here.

In house I started with a savory scone and Martha Stewarts Spiced Caramel Apple Cider.
The cider was great.

I also enjoyed a thyme, blueberry, goat cheese scone.  The scones were only $4.75, which I thought was a great price for NYC.
The scone was a little tough.  The flavors were ok, I wanted more goat cheese taste than was there.

The vibe was so great.  We had a great time getting to know each other.  They live a few towns over from me.  We found out we a had a lot in common.  I was so glad for this unexpected addition to my day.

I then got a Pumpkin Pie Matcha Latte to go.  There was a little too much cinnamon on the drink, but the flavor of the matcha was very nice.

I thoroughly enjoyed Maman.  Aside from the drier scone, everything was top notch.  This place is really cute and worth a stop.

Even there to go cups are adorable and French looking.

As thank you for the trip and having breakfast with them, these sweet ladies bought me this adorable tea cup ornament!  I was very pleasantly surprised and incredibly touched.

I never knew that on the edge of Chinatown was Little Paris!  This quaint, fun place is in Little Paris.
