Marandos cafe, Lavender Cloud and a Lavender chai

I am constantly blown away by people's creativity and venues!
This is another dream location for me....a lavender field and an 1800's barn that is now a guest house!

This was about 25-30 minutes away in the middle of no where Amish country, lol!  You know you are in Amish country when it is gravel roads and the only tracks you see are the buggy wheel lines.

I just happened to see a post on Facebook about this event in Lakeville, in June, and I had a free day, so off I went.

I enjoyed meeting and talking a little with Marandos.  Such kind, sweet people.  I love that they went after their dreams and have this great coffee/tea/drink truck.  It is simply adorable.

This is the lavender chai I purchased for the drive home.

I thought this tea was very good. Prices were good too.  The flavors were nice as well, a more sweet than spicy chai.  I really enjoyed meeting and talking to Marandos.  I hope they continue to thrive in their business!

I also tried the lavender cloud.  It was good too.

I completely felt like I was in Provence France.

I loved lavender!  I picked a bundle to bring home.  I will be using in my teas for sure!

Every where I looked was photo worthy.

What a beautiful day with a gorgeous venue.

The guest house was turned into a quaint little shop.

It was such a nice day I brought my paints and did a little painting.  I am not pleased with the painting, but I sure enjoyed being outside and see the lavender and taking it all in...while enjoying lavender shortbread I purchased in the barn.

There was lots of little places to sit and enjoy the views.

Lavender Fest

I love doing the Lavender Trails Fest, but I believe this will be the last year for me.  It is just too hot for me!  This is the third year and I have always done very well here, but it is just exhausting to set up, stay for hours and hours, and then pack up.

I will be back to visit vendors though!  I think this is a great event.  But, I am more of an air condition gal, lol.

I tried something new this year.  I made lavender matcha.  I made the lavender matcha base the day before and then added oat milk that day.

Tip on keeping your tea cold without ice.  I make a ring mold using the tea.  This way as the ice mold melts it does not dilute the tea.

I got a new spot this year, the back row by the field.  I liked having a view of everything that was happening.  There were a lot of us vendors there, which is so fun.

It is 8am and I am already sweating off pounds, lol!

I am VERY grateful for the tent my parents bought me a few years ago.  I would be lost without it.

Mark your calendar and come next year.  If you come early, when they open, it is free.

When you sign up to be a vendor it is $50, but if you show up that day, you get that $50 back.  I think this is a wonderful way to secure vendors.
And then I like to take that $50 and spend it on the Lavender Trails items.  They have great syrups, honey, and other fun items.

Behind me was this beautiful field of wild flowers.  I wish my own chaos garden looked like this.

All set....now if I could just install an AC unit behind me.
Actually I was drinking lots of tea, then realized I would have to use the port a potty, so I stopped that too.  hahahahaha.

I met Healer's Mark, she was next to me.  I got some tea from her.

I met Kim, who has been following me on social media, which I love.
I think she was the most excited person ever to see me.  It made my day!

Karen from church came.  I love seeing her and her husband.

My cousins showed up too.  That was a fun surprise.

Watch and follow Lavender Trails in Orrville.  They have the Lavender Fest at the end of June and beginning of July almost every year.  It is a great event.
