Tulipan Chai Flight

I was in Wooster for the Woosterfest and while waiting for friends I decided to try the chai flight.

122 S Market St, Wooster, Ohio 44691

It has been a while since I was in Tulipan.  But, it is a quaint little cafe right off the square in Wooster.  The shop opened in 2004, by Hungarian born Elizabeth Lakatos.  I was in the shop when she owned it.  So, I was excited to see what the new owners had done.

I was pleased to see it seemed a lot the same.   The glasses were full of beautiful pastries.  There were lots of fun choices and drink list was good.

Kifli is what is pictured on the right below.  There were three varieties- peach, cream
cheese, and raspberries.  With the chai flights I got three chai drinks of my choice and two Kifli of my choice.

The tea flight was $15 which I thought was pricey, but I wanted to try it out.
I was given a choice of 6 chai varieties. And I could have them iced or hot.  I went with iced.
They used Big Train Chai, which I am a fan of, so that was a plus.  I could tell right away that was the chai that was being used and the gal making the chai confirmed it was Big Train.

I am giving the flight four tea cups out of five, just for the price.
I know that the chai is a powdered mix that you just add water too and then do a squirt of flavoring- so I thought it was over priced.
I say it was over priced, but it was still good tasting and the staff was very friendly.  The store is clean was well as the restrooms.
The pastries were also fresh and delicious.
I would recommend this sweet cafe in Wooster.

I ordered a London Fog to go, which was $4.85 and I thought it was a great price and super tasty.  It was made with Harney & Son Earl Grey, which I really enjoy too.

B's Deli, Pumpkin Chai

B's deli open just recently in the Heartland building and it is great news!
So excited that Heartland Point building is finally open!!  I hated to see it empty for so long.  But now we have a great deli in the building.  It is a great place to snag a sandwich and/or drink.

I went in and grabbed a fall drink the other day.  I decided to try the Pumpkin Chai.  It was very good.  They use a chai mix that I really enjoy, so I was pleased.  The flavors were very good.

I have been in to B's several times- my favorite sandwich is a barbeque wrap that they have. It is the Pork Pushover, it has a pickles, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, a sweet chili sauce with oil and vinegar.  It also has jalapenos- but I always have them leave those off.  It is a great wrap!
You can tell I always get the same sandwich when the owner makes the comment, you must like that one, it's all you get.  hahahaha. It is my favorite!  And I love that they have gluten free wraps too.

I also had a BBQ Chicken salad that was very good too.

Davids Tea, Chocolate Chili Chai Latte, with Oat-ly Milk

I made this great chocolate chili chai latte a few days last week.  It was so good.  The chili does not overtake, but you do get the hot notes lingering at the back of your tongue.  The chocolate notes give it more of a hot coco feel.  But, it does have black tea in it.

I steeped the tea for 5 minutes.  And while I did that I frothed Oat-ly oat milk and added a little vanilla syrup to the milk.  It was so delicious.

Oat-ly is one of the best oat milks I have found for frothing.  It really holds up and whips up.  It also has a great taste on it's own.  I enjoy it.
