Noel Christmas Tea, Ohio Tea Company

I love this Christmas tea.  It is so flavorful!  I love the addition of orange and almond in this black tea. It reminds me of a mulled cider with even more enhanced flavors and depth.  This is a keeper for sure...a nice addition to Christmas, or any time of year.

Black Tea, orange peel, apple pieces, almond pieces, cinnamon chips, and rose petals. Natural cinnamon, and orange flavor.

This tea was great with these crescent rolls that I made and had left over from Thanksgiving.   I got two really nice cups of tea out of one scoop of tea.  This is a great tea!  You have to check out the Ohio Tea Company if you have not tried them yet. You won't be disappointed in any of their teas

Bird and Blend - Lady Lavender Tea

This is a black tea, I heat the water to 212 degrees and I steep for around 4 minutes.

Ceylon black tea, lavender, bergamot oil

I am really loving Earl Grey tea, now that I have discovered loose leaf GOOD Earl Grey tea.  I have been enjoying finding Earl Grey tea twists.  This is a good one.  If you don't like lavender you will not like this one.  For me it is a perfect addition of lavender, but it might be too much for others.

I love adding milk to the Earl Grey, it was really nice in Lady Lavender.  I did not make it a London Fog, but I might try it for the next cup I make.

Earl Grey enjoys sitting with me while I enjoy a cuppa.

Thai Lanna Jasmine, Ohio Tea Company

My favorite tea is Oolong.  My favorite flavors in tea are hibiscus, lavender, and jasmine. This tea is not Oolong, but it is jasmine, a Thai jasmine.  A really good Thai jasmine.  I have a special place in my heart for Thailand- I did mission work a few years ago in Thailand.

This tea comes from Thailand.  The owner of the Thai restaurant, Thai Lanna Jasmine, supplies the tea for the Ohio Tea Company.  I have yet to eat at this Thai restaurant, but I will someday!

Caffeine meter

This tea is a mix of black and green tea.  So, you want to not make the water too hot- so you don't bruise the green leaves. Heat the water to 195 degrees and steep for 2-3 minutes.

I enjoyed this tea, drinking out of my Thailand mug!

Thailand 2016...

When I was in Thailand I enjoyed sticky rice and mango.  I thought it fitting to drink Thai Jasmine tea with some sticky rice and mango spring rolls.

It was a great pairing.  I love this jasmine tea, it is so great.  The floral flavor is just right in this jasmine tea.  If you like jasmine tea, you will love this one.

Dried Hibiscus - Chucks

While visiting my sister out in Vancouver WA I always try to stop at Chuck's and get hibiscus flowers.  I love to make hibiscus iced tea.

I have found that hibiscus flowers for under $6 a pound is a great price!!  So, the past couple of trips I try to take a couple of pounds home to Ohio.

The Tea Spot, Coconut Cabana

Ingredients: oolong tea, shaved coconut, coconut and vanilla flavoring

This tea is terrific!!   I love a good coconut oolong and this one is really great!  The flavors mix so well together with the vanilla.  I love it!  With an oolong tea you don't want your water to boil, I usually heat to about 185-190.  Also, I steep for only about 3 minutes.  I am able to get two cups of tea from one serving.

If your water is too hot, or you steep it too long your tea will be ruined.   It is so important how you brew your tea.  Do it right and you will love the cup!!

Oolong is a great tea with Asian food.  I made some Trader Joe's dumplings and this tea pairs with it so well.

Harney & Sons, Organic Peach bottled tea

from the website,
"Ingredients:
Brewed infusion (water, organic cane sugar*, organic black tea*,organic honey, natural peach flavor), ascorbic acid, citric acid, sodium citrate."

I was at World Market and decided to try some of their fun and unique teas.  I enjoy Harney & Son Teas, so I was excited to try this bottled tea.

I thought it was really good.  There is not a lot of sugar in this tea, which makes me very happy.

This tea has a nice Peach flavor. I would say this was a good buy.

Check out World Market for their great collection of teas.  They have teas from all over.

Numi, Hibiscus Red bottled tea

Today I had a three hour lunch with my life long friends.  It is so wonderful to have these friends to do life with!  The blond, Jodi, and I have been friends for over 40 years, we met in Kindergarten.

After breakfast I headed to the Smuckers Store.  Smuckers is from Orrville...did you know that?  It is true!  And about 20 years ago I used to work for the Smuckers, I was there nanny.  I love the Smuckers, they are wonderful people.

Smuckers were having their black Friday sale, and everything was 25% off.    Smuckers make the bottled Numi.

I totally forgot I had tried this already, which in and of it's self is not bad.  But, sadly I forgot it had rooibos in it. So, I was so disappointed the moment I took a sip.  The instant the tea touched my taste buds I new that there was rooibos in it.

I did finish the drink and it was good except for the rooibos flavor.  I am really glad that Smuckers has gotten into teas!!
