Sure House, Chai with Chili

I popped in to get a chai latte with chili and I was super excited to see my friend Rachel was working.  And then as I leaving I ran into my friend Cari.

So, while I was social distancing I was blessed to see two friends!!!

I then headed over to see my friend, Deb.  Who is still working at the house.  She is the one who turned me on to chia with chili.

Sure House makes their chai and then for extra you can add Chili Pepper Simple Syrup!! It is so good!!  I love the extra little kick that it gives the chai.

I was stopped at the door, no one but the 5 working in the home office are allowed in.  So, I talked to a few co-workers from a distance and delivered the chai to Deb.

I miss my friends at work!

Guard at the door...

Day 26 featuring Mighty Leaf- Earl Grey/London Fog

Day 26!!  Completed my 5th week of working from home.  I am fever free, so I am good to go!!!

I decided I had not shared any tea from Mighty Tea!  They have great tea, so I wanted to be sure that they were part of my featured teas!!

I am featuring Earl Grey- which is the base for a London Fog Latte.

Make the Earl Grey tea- water temp is over 200 degrees and steep for 3 minutes.
Then I frothed almond milk with vanilla syrup.   Then I mix.
I love the London Fog Latte!!
The bergamot oil in this tea is nice and subtle.  Some Earl Grey teas can be over powering in bergamot, this one is not.

Organic black tea and organic bergamot oil

Since I am drinking Earl Grey- I wanted to show you MY Earl Grey!!!  We just celebrated being together 6 months on the 22nd of this month!!

This afternoon the kettle was working over time...and I loved it!!

One of my best friends since high school, Shonk,  and her daughter , Kaci, biked over.  They had bubble tea and kombucha.  It was so fun seeing them!

Pastor Paul and Barb and their grandson, stopped over for some bubble tea.  I miss seeing them on a regular basis!!!  These are some of my favorite people!!!

Sarah came over for a Bubble Tea and gave me the most lovely painting!!!  It's Earl Grey- I just love it!!!  She captured him so well- he loves to sit by the window!!!  Sarah is my neighbor and in my Sunday School class at church.  Also, I graduated with her mom, Andrea.

My coworker Duane and his wife, Nikole, popped over for a London Fog Latte and coconut kombucha.  I knew Nikole was coming, but it was a fun surprise to see Duane!  Nikole used to run a coffee shop- I hope I lived up to her high standards!!

My neighbor, Jody, sent her son over for some bubble tea too.  Fun fact Jody's dad was my high school vice principal and Jody was in a youth group that I worked with for awhile.

So much fun having people from all different aspects of my life coming over to share in something I love. Sharing tea blesses me and I hope those who received it are blessed too.

Starbucks - Pineapple Matcha and Golden Ginger drinks

I was not able to get Earl Grey to hear his mask.

I took a break from being home to get some groceries...

I used my Thieves, Young Living Wipes, and headed into Walmart.

I was looking for a refreshing drink on the way home, so I stopped at Starbucks.  I saw these new drinks- I could not decide which to get, so I got a small one of each.

They were soooo good!!!  And yes, I am still recovering from my fall.  The bruising and swelling crept down my face, but I promise my face does not hurt.

From the website, "Our premium matcha green tea shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger along with coconut milk and ice for a delicious beverage to uplift your day."

This matcha pineapple drink it really good.  It is more pineapple and ginger than Matcha, which I enjoy.  I am not sure how much health benefit is actually in this one, but It is very tasty.

From the website. "Our golden ginger blend with turmeric essence shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger, coconut milk and ice for a delicious beverage to lift up your day."

This one was my favorite of the two- and I know I recreate this one at home.  I really enjoy the turmeric and ginger in this one with the splash of pineapple.

These are both good and refreshing.  But, I will be looking for ways to make them from home without all the sugar.

Day 25 featuring Tea Dude Jasmine Oolong

Day 25 of working from home....I'm fever free and good to go!!

This tea is from Medina, Ohio.

This is an oolong tea- it's a mix of black and green tea.  It is not straight oolong.  But, I have seen this before when black and green are mixed it is sometimes considered an oolong.

When you have a mix of teas, you want your water temp to be following the lightest tea- in this case, you would heat to the temp you would for green tea.  I would not go over 180 degrees.

I would steep for 3-4 minutes.

This tea has a nice light jasmine aroma.  It is not overpowering or too strong.

The notes in this tea are light too.  You get a subtle tea flavor with light jasmine mixed in.  It is really nice.  I enjoy the flavors.

Please feel free to stop in and ask for a cup of this tea- or any tea to go!!  It's all free!

Caden Race came by and got some bubble tea for this 13th birthday!

Tea Guest for Bird and Blend, Dark Choc Chili Chai

What have you learned during this time?  We have had lots of time to be at home and to learn about ourselves and grow.  Are you doing that- learning and growing?  As a Christian, I need to take this time to spend more time with God and be in His Word more. I admit I have not done that like I should or could.  But, I need too.   I need to take this extra time to do that, this time is a gift .  I already learned that I need to think of other first, what more does God have to teach me in this time?

You all know I love tea (and my love language is gifts),  so I have been using tea and giving to reach others.  Each morning since we have been sheltering and working from home I do a live feed on Facebook and I feature a different tea.  I then invite people to stop by and try the tea.  I have had several take me up on it.  They stay on the porch, but it is a small way to encourage and be a blessing.  Go ahead and laugh, but to me it is a small way to minister and show love.  And people seem to love to stop by – try the tea and say hi.  All are welcome to come and have tea to go!

I made this sign- If it is on the front door, stop in for tea!!

My mom was the first to stop over and have tea to go!!

We stayed distant, but she is ALWAYS allowed in my house :)

She brought me some almond milk and I made her one of my favorite chai teas.

I have blogged and bragged about this tea before and I even featured it the other day.  I love this Dark Choc Chilli Chai!

While we are social distancing I am offering FREE tea to anyone who stops in.  Wait on my porch and I will make you the tea of your choice to go.

Since I started this I have had around 15 different people stop in.  It's been fun to see the variety of people from different parts of my life.  I have had 3 classmates stop in (YEAH CLASS OF 1990), 3 relatives come by, 2 current co-workers, 1 former co-worker, and several people from church.  I am waiting for the person I have never met to show up, lol!

Please feel free to stop in and get a FREE cup of tea.

Hope you are finding joy and giving joy.

Day 24 featuring Tea Forte- Winter Chai

Today I was fever free, so I am good to go!!!

Today I am featuring Tea Forte.  Tea Forte would be in my top 4 of favorite teas.  They have fabulous flavors!!!

Tea Forte has these great single steepers.  It is the perfectly measured and all set to make a cup of tea.

Our gourmet blend of caffeine-free rooibos, exotic cardamom, and sweetly fragrant vanilla.

This is a tea forte cup....it comes with with steeper already inside the cup.

The only draw back is I did not save the box these steepers came in, so I wasn't sure what kind of tea this was.  But, as soon as I opened it I smelled the Rooibos in it.

Roobios tea can have the water around 200 degrees and you can steep for 4-5 minutes.

Even though I don't like Rooibos, this was still a good chai.  The notes of vanilla come through the most.  I am such a fan of the flavors that Tea Forte brings- they strong and really bring it.

Today, Sarah and her mom stopped in for iced tea.  Funny thing, I had 3 people stop by and two of them I graduated with!!!  I graduated with Sarah's mom.

My office sent me this fun plant that arrived today!  His is a Swiss Cheese plant, I named him Hans.

Aundine stopped by, from three hours away, and got some kombucha and a kombucha starter.  I graduated with Aundine too and it has probably been 20 years since I have seen her.  I love that tea is bringing me to people I have not seen in a long time.

Lisa stopped by for a kombucha starter too. She also got a Citrus chai.  Lisa and I used to work at Lehmans together.

Hope you are finding joy and giving joy!!!
