Tea stand out of driftwood

My friends picked me up this 10' piece of driftwood from Lake Erie.

I sprayed it a few times with a wood preserver to try to help keep it from rotting in the ground.

I had clipped this photo 5 plus years ago... Not sure where it was from, but it was the inspiration for me.

I had this one giant kettle at the back of my house, but I knew that is where I wanted my tea kettles. That way I could see them out my kitchen window.

I thought about the layout that I wanted.

My friend sent her husband over to install the driftwood pull they got me.  He rocked it!!!!

He then drilled holes in the pots for drainage.

I bought some wrought iron hooks on line and he installed those for me too.

I just love the way it turned out!!!  I think I will get some herbs to put in the pots.  I just love that I see it everyday out my window.

And he got it in the ground so well it is not moving at all!!!  He said his grandpa taught him how to do it.  If you can get all the dirt back in the hole you've done it right!  And I must say, we did not have much dirt left.

I can't wait to plant some herbs!!!

Meijer teas - Frederik's, GTS, and Matcha Love teas

I tried out the new Meijer grocery store in Wooster, OH.
It is clean, bright, and airy.  I was impressed.

I could not wait to check out the tea section.

They have a nice tea selection.  I was pleased to see some fun teas I had never tried before too.  I thought the prices were good too.

I spent over an hour my first trip to Meijer.  I love the large, clean aisles. Also, the first few weeks they were doubling points and giving $15 off $50.  I am a fan.

I first tried the Frederik's spearmint and lavender tea.

I use 8-10 bags of tea per gallon of tea and 1/3 C of sugar.  It makes a nice, not too sweet iced tea.

I made it as an iced tea.  It was pretty good, I would have liked more lavender flavor, but it was still really good.

Also, the kombucha was on sale too.

GTS is one of favorite kinds of Kombucha.  Even though I make it myself, I will still pick up GTS when it is one sale.  The flavors and tastes are always on point and really good.

These were really unique flavors- elderflower, jasmine, and violet.  I liked it in an odd way, but the violet flower is pretty strong.  This would probably the only GTS kombucha that I would not run to buy.  I would drink it again, but it does not make the TOP 10 of flavors.

I tried the Matcha Love tea.  I like the flavors and what I really liked was that there real matcha in the tea. The bag says to shake out the bag because there could be matcha left overs inside.  Also, you are to dip the tea bag in and out of the water so that the matcha is released.

The aroma of this tea is really nice.  I tried it warm, but will try it cold next time.

I liked the flavors, but wish it was stronger in matcha.   The most dominant flavor for me was the blueberry.  I thought it was good, but I would have never guessed there was matcha in the tea if I had not made it myself and seen the label.
