I had some really fun dresses and clothes from when I was a baby in the 70's. My mom found a box of some of my baby clothes in the attic. I decided to take those fun colorful clothes and make a "tea" t-shirt with them. And I have to say it turned out wonderful, I love it!!
I had alphabet 4" traceable letters. I also then used stitch witchery iron on sheets.
I ironed on the stitch witchery to the back of the material. I traced the letters on the paper and then cut them out.
I placed the letters where I wanted them on the shirt and then ironed it on.
I found these 3 cups that I liked. I blew them up on a copier. Cut them out, as three teacups. I then ironed on the stich witchery to the material, traced the design and cut them out.
I laid the teacups where I wanted those and then ironed them on the shirt.
I wanted to be sure they really stayed on the shirt, so I then decided to sew around each letter with the sewing machine.
It was really easy to do. The entire shirt took me less than 2 hours to make.
I love it! I plan on playing more with vintage clothes and making fun clothes.
