Karak Chai in Middleburg Heights for my birthday

I had my 54th birthday off and I headed up towards Cleveland for the day.  The first stop was Karak Chai!  It was breakfast AND lunch!

Karak is tucked into a strip mall, but don't let that stop you.  It is so charming and inviting.

The have a great variety of teas and coffees.  I could not wait to make myself a flight of different chai teas.

This was the fun plastering on the wall.

They have a lot of great things to offer.  The sweet treats had me overwhelmed.  But then I saw something that reminded me of my trip to Iraq....and I knew that was what I wanted.

Chocolate Knafeh that has Kadayif (spun pastry dough) with pistachio.

I decided to make myself of flight of chai tea.  I ordered 4 different chai teas.

Classic Karak

Rich, bold black tea brewed strong and simmered with fragrant cardamom and spices, then blended with evaporated

milk and just the right amount of sweetness. Warm, comforting, and full-bodied — a timeless favorite with deep, aromatic flavor.

Saffron Karak

A fragrant twist on the classic — robust black tea simmered with aromatic cardamom and infused with delicate saffron strands. Blended with creamy evaporated milk and balanced sweetness, this luxurious karak offers a rich, soothing flavor with a subtle floral depth.

Masala Karak (Cardamon & Ginger)

A bold and spicy variation of the classic — strong black tea simmered with a warming blend of traditional Indian spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and cardamom. Mixed with creamy evaporated milk and just the right sweetness, it’s a flavorful, comforting drink that energizes and soothes.

Adeni Tea

A traditional Yemeni-style tea brewed strong and infused with warming spices like cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Served sweet and rich with milk, Adeni Tea offers a fragrant, comforting experience that’s perfect for relaxation and connection.

I think that the classic chai might have been my favorite.  It was fun to try all of them.  They all had a unique flavors and notes.

I then tried the Pani Puri.  This was really fun and delicious!

Pani Puri- Crispy puris filled with spiced potatoes and chickpeas paired with tangy, flavorful water.  A perfect balance of crunch, spice, and tang in every bite.

I also ordered the chocolate  Kadayif and Samosa

How wonderful a lunch is this?!!  I could barely eat it all.

The atmosphere here was really fun and I really enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of these teas.  They had great and unique flavors.  I love how adding different herbs and spices can add and enhance each flavor of the tea.
Try new and different teas.  Try and embrace different cultures teas.

If you are in Middleburgh Heights, you need to check this place out.  It really was so much fun.
