GH, Ginger House Black Tea Lavender Lotus with lavender cold foam

The Ginger House in Berlin, has a new design on the cup outside, but same great tea inside!

I tried a lotus drink.  I have to say I found it too sweet. This is the 2nd time I have tried a lotus drink and it just is too sweet.
This one was nice that it had the tea and lavender with it, so I did like it, but there was again a sweetness I didn't particularly like.

They GH has lots o nice seating and even a room in the back.

I liked the black tea and lavender.  I liked the cold foam.  But it was sweeter than I would normally like.  Plus I see adding the Lotus adds to the price, lol.

This is one of my favorite place to have tea in Berlin.

Awakening Chai in Orrville

I discovered this cute coffee trailer in Orrville Ohio the other day.  And from the sounds of it, they are here a lot.  They are in Portico Plaza on 57.  In the parking lot of Old Carolina.

Awakening Coffee has a lot of fun drink options, not just coffee.

I decided to try the iced chai.

The gals were super sweet and helpful and friendly.

The chai was good.   The price was in line for $5.

Li Yan White Tea

If you follow me, you know I love the Chinese Plaza in Cleveland.  I am constantly finding fun new items and teas there.

The newest tea is this white tea cake.

White tea is very delicate.  It is the least processed tea.  Your water temperature needs to be no higher than 175 degrees.  And you only steep the tea for around 2 minutes.

With the tea cake you break it apart to use it.  You don't add the entire cake at one time.

I put some tea in the kettle and gave the first cup to my tea pet.

I then put more water in the teapot and steeped it again, this time I enjoyed the tea.
This is a nice light tea.

Try new teas!  Take a leap and buy something new and different next time you are in a tea shop.  See what you will discover.

Tea on the beach

Hanging out in Vermilion with the family for mom's birthday.  We rented a cabin for one evening. We had a great fish dinner in Huron, looked for beach glass, went to a bird habit, and lunch in Vermilion.

During our down time I made some tea.

I set out my picnic blanket that I picked up in Iraq.

I was brewing my tea.  I brought tea from Iraq as well as tea treat from Kurdistan too.

I had a lot of fun!

This was the first time I pulled out the travel fire box too.  I liked how easy it was.  Although I know wood fire would have been authentic.

Cheers!!

Loved spending a few quiet days with family!!!

Asterisk in Columbus

I was in Columbus for a funeral/celebration of life.  After the service I wanted to try Asterisk.  I had it on my tea bucket list.

This is in Westerville and it is super cute and quaint.

The street names where in the sidewalks.

I love all the brick,  It is just so adorable.

It looks like a library when you first enter.

Its rustic meets elegance.

When I walked in they handed me a book.  I didn't get it...but it was the menu!!!

Super clever and cute to have the menu inside the cover of the book.

I ordered the cream tea.  Cream tea is my favorite!  Just tea, scones, clotted cream and jam- the best part of afternoon tea in my opinion.

Lemon Blueberry Scone and Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Scone.
I got a strawberry rhubarb and green iced tea

I clearly enjoyed it!!

I really enjoyed this unique place.  It was decorated really well.  The place was clean and my server was super friendly.  The prices were not bad either. I also enjoyed my tea and scones. I recommend this place if you are in the area.

More shots from the area.
