Southern Breeze Sweet Tea

I found this tea at the scratch and dent store. I wasn't sure if it would be up my ally since it was sweet tea, but it was on sale and it said it had zero calories, so I thought I would give it a whirl.

I made it and I couldn't even finish the glass.  It was a sickening sweet taste.  I thought maybe stevia, but it was not listed in the ingredients. I threw out the entire batch.

Then I remembered what I always tell my readers, give it a second chance.  So, I made it again...and still I could not do it.  It was way to sweet.  It seemed like a fake sweetness. I could not do it.  Sorry, this was not for me.  I guess I would not make it in the south.

For me, it was a 1 tea cup out of 5.

Second Look Books & Brew, Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte

My Wednesday Wanderings took me to Lodi the other day.  I was excited to see that there was a tea place I had not yet been too.

This place is so quaint and cute. Books and tea how great is that?

They also sell some pastries.

I decided to try the Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte.  The lady who worked there was super friendly and helpful.

The also have a nice tea menu.  I love that and don's see that too often in a coffee shop.

The store walls are full of books.  It set up really nice.

I love the way they use the scrabble pieces to show the book sections.

This coffee/tea shop is attached to an antique store.

This little downtown area of Lodi is really cute.  I think I have only been downtown once, but I look forward to going again.  I enjoyed the tea and the antiques.

I gave the Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte 4 out of 5 cups.  I thought the price was good- less than $5.  Also this was a powered chai and very good.  I enjoyed the pumpkin pie flavor, it was not over powering or fake tasting.

After I got some tea I went to the Lodi Outlet Mall.  I won a $25 gift card to Lots of Knots Ceramic store.

I had a blast.  I went to the outlet and got Chinese food and then set up shop. It took around 3 hours to paint the truck.  It reminds me of when I was a kid.  After I used the gift card this only cost me $6.  What a deal.  I picked up what I wanted to paint, then picked the paint, used their brushes.  They sprayed it to finish and gave me the lights.  What a fun project.  If I go again I may take some of my girlfriends and make an evening of it.

Mini Tea Set from India

I like to pop into Mission Thrift in Orrville from time to time.  I was there on my lunch the other day and found this adorable mini tea set from India.

This tea set was only $7.  The tea set was dirty and needed to be cleaned.

I did some research on line on how to clear copper.  I read that white vinegar, salt and hot water would do the trick.

I soaked them for about 4-5 minutes. I rinsed them several times with hot water and wiped off with a soft towel.

I noted there was unique markings on the bottom.

The cups said made in India.  I love that.  I may never use this set, but I love knowing that they are made in India and not some knock off from another country.

The set cleaned up really nicely.  I am so excited to add it to my tea collections.  I love the uniqueness of it.

Completely worth the $7 for me.

I love the hunt of the great find.  I love antiquing and treasure shopping.
